Believe it or not, I've never heard those first two Kinks songs. I've heard of them, and actually now I have heard them, thanks to you. They were both good.
I liked that Simon and Garfunkel tune, Why Don't You Write Me. I even have that album. I'll get around to listening to it one day.
Like Jon, I wasn't aware of the Doors and Kinks run in. I bet Davies enjoys those royalty checks, from both songs at that.
The Hollies song sounded somewhat familiar, but it could have just been their voices. Isn't it strange when a song is so big on the other side of the pond but totally tanks here? I think so.
And finally, Bob Dylan. I definitely haven't heard that song and I'm giving it the Golden Pell. It's quite a nice little tune.
See? That's why you're around!
Never knew about that Kinks/Doors thing. Now I do. I am now smarter.
Why don't you read the lyrics on an upcoming show and see what happens? Maybe you have better reading skills now? You are older and have had many years to practice, plus if you don't try, you won't know.
Note that you played two songs from The Kinks. You know, I have my Kinks 50th anniversary edition of "Lola Versus Powerman...", have had it for awhile and still haven't listened to it. It's remastered, has a bunch of bonus tracks plus the "Percy" album is included. I have an older version of "Lola..." on CD and it sounds ok, but this one should sound great!
Uhhh.....zombies are cool. You should never get tired of zombies. That's just wrong.
Another fine show!
