Classic Rock Bottom

Having done that whole show for the 45th Anniversary of Sgt. Pepper, I have been avoiding the Beatles in this 1967 And The Summer Of Lover series.
I cannot any longer, as one of the year's highlights took place June 25, 1967, on LIVE Television.
Anyone who saw it will never forget it!
That is the centerpiece of this chapter.
And virtually all the rest of it will have some sort of a Beatle connection, while keeping within the parameter of the chosen year, 1967.
This is a good episode, with things you may not have heard or even thought of in quite some time- and again, an authentic slice of what we were listening to in that amazing year for Music.
Let's begin by gathering around the Television...on the Radio, lol!
Here are those links to get to Mike Pell Rockollections, you owe it to yourself to listen, lol:

I was just thinking, "Hey, Mike is avoiding the Beatles for some reason"...

In all seriousness, I had just turned 2 two days prior to TV event so its kinda really cool to see and hear what was going on at the time.

Interesting interpretations of Eleanor Rigby, the Vanilla Fudge version was LSD inspired?  Just a guess...

Loved this show, and I cant believe I'm gonna give the Stones the Golden Pell, but that was pretty cool!

Nice work  Mike!

PS:  Jon messaged me secretly and said he really enjoyed your vocal stylings!

So you sang just to mock me? Was that it? Shame!

That Richie Havens cover was pretty cool, like it more than I thought I would. And that Rolling Stones song was damn cool. Still can't get over the mocking though....
