ROCKOLLECTIONS: BLUE AND LONESOME PT.1

The newest Rolling Stones album came out just last December, Blue And Lonesome.
They went back to their Roots as a Blues Band when they started out in the 60’s.
It’s their only album to feature ALL Cover Songs.
I thought it would be interesting to compare the Original Blues Songs with the Rolling Stones Covers.
So that’s the idea, I'll start with the Original followed by the Stones, and you can compare- which do you like better, did the Stones improve on it, put a new twist on it or just plain fail miserably?
In my opinion, Blue And Lonesome is a Celebration, and it’s almost startling to hear how well the Rolling Stones can still play the Blues!
Strip away all the glitz and they are still one solid Band!

It IS a good idea.
I’ll probably do it again, for a good one that is, lol!
The hard part can be finding the Originals, but I had fun listening to them!

Some of those are distinctly different.

I love this idea!  We should do this for all covers albums, ok, at least the good ones like this one!

I dunno. Kinda started to blend into each other after awhile. Wasn't really interested in that Stones album since it was all cover songs and I'm still not.
