ROCKOLLECTIONS: FALL FASHION SHOW - SHOES PT.4 END

This is the home stretch for the Rockollections Fall Fashion Show with Shoes, and it has gone fast.
In this final chapter, a few songs about sending a Message with Shoes .
Also a couple that didn't fit in anywhere else, but I wanted to play them.
Then there are the songs that amuse me because it is almost as if the Shoes are carrying the Wearer to where they want to go.
Magically once the Shoes are put on, they take responsibility and the Wearer is just along for the ride...or the Walk, lol!
To close it all out, and I gave it some thought, the best song I could think of that all of us who have taken this Fashion journey could hear to soothe our aching Shoe-wearing feet!
I had a good time with this short Theme Series, and I hope you did too.
And now I will take a brief break for some much needed vacation.
Enjoy, and I will back as quick as it takes you to tie your laces...some of you anyway, lol!

Here are the links to the conclusion of a series by a guy who who never, ever made Mr. Blackwell's list for good or bad, lol, at Mike Pell Rockollections:

Jon,
Yes, I love the sugary corniness of that Dodie Stevens song- maybe that's why I balanced it with my talk about a pimp, lol!
I got it...Feat Feet...but it don't make it Shoes.
I figured you guys would like the Elvin Bishop song (see what I wrote RJ), but that's only after I play it back.
Doing the show, I am, in my mind, just playing songs for a friend in my house, with no thoughts of pleasing anybody.
He or she likes a tune or not, then it's on to the next one!
Tanya will always remain a hottie to me, the fact she frequently Rocks just makes it better!
I can't play everything because I always run out of time- I have never NOT had songs left over.
That bothers me, but it is just the way it is.
One of the best things about free-form Radio is that I bring a batch of songs about a Theme over, as I pick them I think of more- and they all somehow with my inner compass and stops at points along the way, come out in a reasoned form I am satisfied with.
And even better is that I could do the show, go to bed, get up and do the SAME show again and it would be different!
I might play the songs in a different order, drop some and play others, or go entirely in another direction.
When I listen to a show I did years ago, I am always amazed...surprised even...at what I played and why.
And most of the time it is a pleasant surprise, distancing myself from it I am usually proud of it!
Let's have a moment of silence for the missing BusBoys, LOL!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

This was great, especially the Dotie (sp) song. Don't care if it was from the 50's and it kinda corny. I loved it!

And the EBG song was cool, for a few minutes I thought it was Little Feat (get it? Feat? Feet? Shoes?). That would have been AWESOME if it was.

And no issue from me for Tanya Tucker. Better than Kenny Chesney by a long shot!

Still mourning the missing BusBoys though.....

RJ,
HATS...now that's not a bad idea, lol!
Gonna do nothing for a bit, maybe a rerun, maybe not.
You know I am pretty sure Elvis did that Joe South song.
If not on a studio album, then certainly Presley did it somewhere on the Las Vegas Live CD's!
Do you know that Fred Neill tune Traveling Shoes was done in 1966, I forgot to mention how old it was- and a very influential guy to Folk music who wrote Everybody's Talkin' among other things.
Honestly, this time I was expecting the Elvin Bishop Group to take the Golden Pell.
Just had a feeling down to my Travelin' Shoes, lol!
Tanya Tucker is invited to my house anytime she wants!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

No more shoes huh?  What do we get next week, hats?

That Joe South song was pretty cool.  I got an Elvis vibe for some reason, sounded like it could have made a great late era Elvis song.

The Fred Neal tune Traveling Shoes was okay, but the same song title by the Elvin Bishop Group was outstanding.  That song really rocked.  The geetar was amazing, so that's two shows in a row (actually same show divided in two) with really great geetar songs.  I'm impressed.  So impressed that it easily takes the Golden Pell.

Hey, I've even always liked that Tanya Tucker song.  Haven't heard it in a long time so thanks.
