This final time out it's songs about Famous Artists In History!
Beginning with the man who brung us to the party.
I'll have a song in here I particularly like from 1968, one that I would have found a reason to play someday even without this Series.
But it fits!
Included are some album cuts from both a commercial failure and a smash hit.
This brief Series was intended as a break from the ordinary and an appeal to your intellect- but then, that’s what I always try to do.
For a long time now I have known that the listeners of this show possess an above average intelligence
I wouldn’t want it any other way, lol!

Yeah, there are always going to be differences in the halves and how much people like them- comes with the territory, nothing anybody can do.

I had forgotten about that Paul Simon tune, has a nice feel to it.

Thought I had similar one by Van Morrison, but it turned out he was singing about a French poet not an artist, lol!

Kidding me agin with this eh? "That last track by David Lee Roth was okay, but his voice sounded much different than it did in his Van Halen days."

I was puffed up for having thought of the McCartney and Wings Picasso tune, figured a lot of folks would have forgotten it.

Turned out I had forgotten how long it was, and the changes it goes through, lol!

But I still like it.

And the Golden Pell to Michaelangelo by Emmylou Harris!

Again in this one, I had no idea what you might pick, maybe David Roth cause I think that's a beauty.

Well now that's nice to hear, my pulling greatness from what many would think is nothingness.

I said it a couple of times, that was probably the most challenging couple of shows I've ever done.

Feels real good that I was able to it at all, even if I played MOSTLY songs people never heard before.

New music, no matter how old...right, lol?

But there is truth in there, I do approach the shows with a scholarly angle.

As for the Pauls, not sure what you mean here, "Paul Simon is singing about Oreos. Cookie song!"

But I definitely agree, although it took you to point it out, McCartney's is a "Drinking song! Ho hey ho!"

I'll ignore the "boys touch me", I am a straight arrow, don't even own a raincoat to flash.

Hey I'm on your side, I loved Norman Rockwell.

It was those arty-farty critics who criticized him probably because he was patriotic.

The great Four Freedoms he did, and many a returning soldier was in his paintings.

Ah finally a kind word- "This was a good show with some fine music. Yeah!"

This half was good for sure, but not quite up to the previous two halves.  Still, a couple of tracks I really liked.

The Paul Simon tune was nice.  Gentle.  Like always with him.  Just a soothing voice.

That last track by David Lee Roth was okay, but his voice sounded much different than it did in his Van Halen days.

I was gonna give the Golden Pell to McCartney and Wings, but that part towards the end wasn't so great, so I decided to go with the first song that I thought was really cool...

Michael Angelo by Emmy Lou Harris.  That was really nice.

And a terrific series Mike.  You have done it again, pulling greatness from what many would think is nothingness.

Ok, I could swear you said "boys touch me", but in actuality you said "always touched me" when you were talking about Norman Rockwell. I had to listen to that a couple times just to make sure. it's all good. But what was wrong with Norman? I liked The Saturday Evening Post when I was younger, don't know if it had to do with the cover art or what since I don't really remember any articles. Maybe the centerfold, and that was it. Why did I like it when I was a kid? I will never know.

This was a good show with some fine music. Yeah!
