Cool half-show Mike. I liked this one better than the previous half. Maybe because it's Friday and I'm in a better mood.
Nice start with Seger. Hard to go wrong with him. And what a great trip through the coal mines. My Grandfather worked some coal mines way back when, probably why he had terrible lung disease and died in his fifties. Tennessee Ernie Ford is cool. I once waited on him when I was sixteen. My first job. It was at the concession stand for the Masters golf tournament, 1982. I saw him approaching the stand and thought to myself, cool. He ordered a pack of peanuts. That's it. I turned around and told my peers. None of them had a clue who he was. Thanks to my Dad, I did.
Love Allentown. Even the two factory songs.
I'm giving the Golden Pell to Traffic. Shanghai Noodle Factory. Cool song.
Have a great weekend pal.
Bob Seger. Still tired of him. Thank Connie.
"The Prisoner"! You could have played the Iron Maiden song, it starts off with that quote don't you know.
I mention Devo last week and here they are this week. A song that shouldn't fit on the "Heavy Metal" soundtrack, but it does. Imagine that.
Awwww....a song dedicated to me. Thanks!
You know, when I was younger I thought that Billy Joel was a wimp who only played wimp rock. But then I heard "Pressure" on the radio and liked it and then picked up "The Nylon Curtain" and realized he was pretty good. Plus he used the f-word in a song which I thought was righteous.
Yep. Nope to Bruuce. Again.
Nice finish with Rolling Stones and Traffic.
Couldn't agree with you more on the last part!!!
