RJ, I like that one much better.
Just finished the last show, so I waited to respond.
Sorry to say this one didn't make the cut, but others I had didn't either.
When you listen, you can tell me which I should have left out for John Fullbright, lol!
As for that other thing, I sent it on the 23rd, and just sent it again.
Mike
Yes and no. Haven't seen Manfred.
I'll give this one a listen, working now.
Can you send songs like I do, which reminds me did you get Manfred?
Nope, it's not on Youtube, but here is an official video of his studio version of the other song on the album in which he whistles.
I have the studio version, but I didn't see it on Youtube. However, it pretty much sounds just like that live version.
Finally!!!!
RJ,
Uh-oh, memory, lol!
The Stones was an odd one, but that's what they were doing in 1967, and it closes the Between The Buttons LP.
The one by the Beatles is a great song!
I played Jealous Guy by Lennon before?
I can't remember anymore and I don't keep lists.
Oh yeah foe Me and Julio!
And the Golden Pell goes to Art Garfunkel!
The song is named Disney Girls, first done by the Beach Boys on their Surf's Up album.
And written by Bruce Johnston who was a member at that time.
Just a great album, very smart and progressive- I think people are deceived by the album's name.
It is NOT about surfing and automobiles!
I know Mama Cass did a version of it too, probably others too, but Art always had that
beautiful voice, and of course he whistles in there.
Never heard of John Fullbright, but a good song and nice whistling in there.
Is there a studio version of it?
Funny, a guy sent me a Fred Neil song with whistling I didn't know about.
I may have to re-think my remaining songs cause I only have so much time for a show.
Thanks for the listen and writing, and tip,
Mike
I don't know, won't take my whole comments.
Guess I'll try tomorrow.
There are no birthdays today
