Hahahahaha...I didn't know I had any rights whatsoever, lol!
Nah, you pick the ones you like, I am happy you usually find one!
Well, I guess you could file a formal protest to the Golden Pell Commission for the awarding of the GP to someone other that Paxton.
You know it's a good show when it starts of with Lecil Travis Martin...I mean Boxcar Willie. I remember my Dad liking him. I also vaguely remember an old TV commercial for one of those record collections of the classics and him being featured. Don't remember the song though.
Hooker was cool, but so was both Simon songs. Especially Papa Hobo.
Only A Hobo wasn't bad, but I liked the Dylan song a bit better. Simon and Dylan are staples, and so is Paxton. I think it's safe to say you are a big fan of that guy.
I thought all along that the Golden Pell would go to Boxcar Willie, but I really did like The Long Road by Everhart and Havens. It sounded terrific. And I think that they will take the Golden Pell in a last minute steal.
Enjoyed it.
Mike, you're a little country this week, please become rock and roll again! (OMG! I just made an Osmond joke)..
Box Car Willie certainly was the butt of many jokes, but he was a infomercial pioneer!
The only time anyone hears John Lee Hooker is when he's covered. I think Zeppelin does him justice. Love that Stewart cover, suits his early style perfectly. Wished he'd get back to that!!! I do like these Dylan tunes! So why pick! Both get the GPell!!
Who HASN'T heard of Boxcar Willie? That was always a joke because he was advertised on late nite tv, it even could have been a K-Tel offering. The commercials made BW look silly, but this song really wasn't too bad. Not something I would listen to repeatedly, but for a one time (?) listen, it was ok.
I still believe I've heard this show before, so that actually means I've listened to that BW song twice. No matter, this show still made me want to hop the train but, as I said before, we ain't got none. No trains and food is running out.
Hey, still am liking the Dylan stuff you play. Imagine that.
