Having a hard time getting to this stuff this week. Work is just crazy. So not a lot to say this week cause I'm tired and listening late in the evening.
I will say I thought that fourth song you played (by Jerry Jeff Walker) was Robert Earl Keen. Undoubtedly it wasn't, but hey, they both have three names. So there is that.
The Jackson Browne song was terrific, but since I've heard it before, it is not eligible for the Golden Pell.
That last track from Van Morrison was cool, and I've never heard it, but I'm going with Jerry Jeff Walker for the GP. Bet that surprises you!
Angry man alert!!!!!
Ok, I actually thought you were going to play Alan Parsons Project with the first song. You know, games people play and all that. So, I was surprised because what you played wasn't expected.
That Jerry Jeff Walker sounded like something off the "O, Brother Where Art Thou" soundtrack.
That Proper Ornaments song was really good, I'm going to have to check out the album. But that's kind of an odd name for a band?
Back in the late 70's/early 80's, I hated Billy Joel. Thought he was a wimp. Then "The Nylon Curtain" came out and my though process changed. Then I began to really like Billy. One album changed me, how odd is that?
Anyway, fine show. I expected it to be more ANGRY (hell, you could have played "Angry Young Man", but you're old so it wouldn't have fit, I guess), but it did my body good.
