Classic Rock Bottom

Beatles for Sale is the fourth studio album by the Beatles, released on 4 December 1964 in the United Kingdom and produced by George Martin for Parlophone. The album marked a minor turning point in the evolution of the Lennon–McCartney partnership, John Lennon particularly now showing interest in composing songs of a more autobiographical nature. "I'm a Loser" shows Lennon for the first time coming under the influence of Bob Dylan.

Still Lennon was probably writing most of the best songs, but not for long (IMO). This album seems to be a bit of a step back. It's not an album full of great tracks like "A Hard Days Night", and "I Feel Fine/She's A Woman" that was released on single 27 november 1964 would certainly had improved the album. Still there is a 100% classic (another Lennon-song) in "Eight Days a Week". "No Reply" is not bad at all, and Lennon is on fire, on Chuck Berry's "Rock And Roll Music". A "hidden Treasure" imo is "Every Little Thing She Does", sounds to me like a McCartney/Lennon-song, probably mainly written by McCartney. This might be The Beatles "Diver Down"-album. What do you think?

More useless info: In "Rock And Roll Music", note that the piano part dissapears suddently at 1:46 only to return at 1:51, Error or intentional effect?

On "Honey Don't", you can hear Ringo making a vocal skid at 0:33, followedin the next second by Paul, who pulls too hard on his bass string, which is a bit out of tune. Ditto for the second chorus
(between 1:00 and 1:04), an extremely rare error on his part (left channel in the stereo).

I have this in the truck and I will listen to it today.

Again, I have to agree with your assessment for the most part.  At the risk of continually repeating myself, I have to say that it still sounds like a bunch of singles placed together for an album.  I'm only pulling two songs from this one for my playlist, plus I'll take the a-side and b-side of the single you mentioned.  But I will say that I did like the songs No Reply, I'm A Loser, Rock And Roll Music and Mr. Moonlight.
