I will start this Episode off with one of the most Famous Duets in History, from a 1960 TV Special after The King's two-year stint in the Army.
Then a couple of more Songs About Elvis, including one that should surprise you.
Finally, some Songs About The History Of Rock & Roll, and you CANNOT do them without mentioning Elvis in there!
And I think it's time we laid to rest the idea that Elvis was just a lucky guy who came along and ripped off the song stylings of others!
In fact, he sang Blues, Country, Pop, Gospel and more- something that was unprecedented by an Artist in the 1950's and before- and he sang Rockabilly before anything was called Rockabilly!
There is simply NO ONE he could have COPIED!
To close the Chapter, if you like Guitar, a song by a fellow named Bill Kirchen who will amaze you with instantly recognizable snippets from almost every Great Guitarist, and even Great Bands, you can think of!
Join me for a Star Studded Presentation, and the Salute To Elvis will wrap up next week!

Comment
Jon,
I hate to break it to you, but he was mentioned by Kirchen among the Kings as THE King, with a piece of Heartbreak Hotel, LOL!
And wasn't that some incredible guitar work?
Thanks for the listen,
Mike
Sure you can do a song about music history without mentioning HIM. At least there was that last song.
