Man, that version of the Stones song is very cool. Unlike Scott, I've always loved that song. Being a pharmacist and actually dispensing Valium (that little yellow pill) may have something to do with it. Valium also comes in a higher strength, 10mg, but it's blue, which just wouldn't have worked as well.
Loved the Haggard tune and the Ronstadt and Harris tune. Great vocal harmonies on the latter. Somewhere in there you made a quote about mothers and always finding forgiveness. My question is, who is the Ball Sack that made the quote?
The next section had quite the 50's flavor. Nothing wrong with that. I'm more familiar with The Captain and Tennile's version of You Better Shop Around, but only 'cause it was a huge hit in the 70's.
The folk song you closed out with was hilarious, especially the part about ho's.
Enjoyed it bro!
Happy Post Baby Momma Day!!!
Those lyrics in the Stones tune are pretty spot on in todays culture to. While I dont care for the tune, the lyrics caught for the first time ever. That part about getting old being a drag? I wouldnt know anything about that... juts sayin'
Really liked that Ronstadt track. I cant say many Country tunes catch my ear, but I do love her voice. Makes think back to the other show when we thought of Carly Simon, seems like Linda had a moment there when she was pretty smokin' too (albeit alot more narrow of a window than Simons).
Cool track from Tracey Newman, that was fun listen and with my youngest being 17, I testify that its all true! hahahaha...
As usual... Great Show!
