Forgot about The Band With No Name. Wonder is they had a horse? A horse with no name? MAKES YOU THINK, DOESN'T IT????????
I tried looking that band up, and actually it is The Group With No Name, and found nothing about them playing at Monterey, just their billing at the concert.
Yes, Jon, you make me think alright.
Now take your medication, and please listen to Part Two, lol!
Thanks for all that stuff and making me laugh again,
Mike
Oh. I lived there in 1983. Guess that's why. They did have barking seals though....

And why can't I remember this from Monterey??????????????
I can't answer that.
You- yourself- are a classic, lol!!!
Thanks for listening and writing, and good luck with those memories,
Mike
I was in Monterey and don't remember ANY of this.
When we went to the R&R Hall Of Fame a few years ago, they were showing this in one of their theaters. I walked in right when Hendrix was playing, it's such an iconic moment, especially when he set that geetar on fire. Has always and will always stick with me.
Ok, who's Beverly????
And why can't I remember this from Monterey??????????????
Mike,
This isn't a particularly long response, but I still liked the show. Only a few songs, but that's okay too.
I loved both Hendrix tunes you played. I've never heard either, so they are battling neck and neck for the coveted Golden Pell. I'm gonna have to go with Hendrix covering Dylan. Maybe if Hendrix would have lived longer, he could have put this cover down on vinyl (I'm not exactly sure that he didn't). It seems he interpreted Dylan very well.
