Good man...cranky, testy, hard to please, highly opinionated, hates many musical artists or dismisses them...but a good farm boy, LOL!
Yep, farm work!
It was written by Alan Sillitoe way back in the 50's
Jon,
I think maybe I saw the movie, but there is a chance I may have read the story.
Know who wrote it?
Stuff eh...milk the cows, lol?
Mike
It was a short story and there was a movie in the 60's.
Oh, I do...stuff. And get up early to do that stuff.
It's the early riser.
What do you do Jon, that you have to get up so early?
I fell asleep before, that's why I am up.
Very possible I've heard the Mike & The Mechanics, less likely Iron Maiden.
But why does the title The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner sound so familiar?
Mike
Oh, and you forgot "The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner" by Iron Maiden. There's always next year. Guess you could also toss in "Run To The Hills" if you feel froggy.
You've heard "Silent Running" by Mike & The Mechanics. Trust me. If you were alive during the mid 80's you heard it.
The Young/Stills track was a'ight, nothing too special.
Ha! Running On Empty! Told ya!
The first two songs were pretty violent, so kinda Halloween songs, no? And everytime I hear the word "boogity" I think of Porky's 2. So the Coasters song reminded me of that.....
Laura Nyro? Noro. It didn't ebb and flow. It was just a constant. Kinda boring. Wait, not "kinda", totally.
The Ten Years After song was creey at the beginning, hence ANOTHER Halloween song.
The Young/Stills track was a'ight, nothing too special.
Nice Halloween show, Mike!
There are no birthdays today
