RJ, I could have sworn I responded to that Kiss video- I recorded it.
I said I liked it, it was a pretty straightforward interpretation- but maybe slightly slower, what do you think?
And when I saw that album cover I thought I had it.
Turns out it was an album of covers BY the Ramones I have, lol!
Thanks for the gift,
Mike
Oh man RJ, that song by the Oak Ridge Boys is GREAT!
I'll be doing the show on Sunday, and it wouldn't surprise me if it is in there!
I thank you sir!
Mike

The Oak Ridge Boys song is My Radio Sure Sounds Good To Me. It's not available on Youtube, so if I remember, I'll try to post it for you tonight.
Believe it or not, I pretty well agree with Jon. However, I'm okay with Ray. I saw him live in '93 in Branson, Mo. His live show was lacking bite, plus it was very short. However, I saw Wayne Newton and Glen Campbell on the same trip (different shows) and they were both fantastic.
I'm gonna go ahead and hand out the Golden Pell to Harry Nilsson. That's a good little song.
Did you know that Kiss covered Do You Remember R&R Radio for a Ramones tribute? Maybe I can find that on Youtube and post it for you. I have one other song by The Oakridge Boys that would have fit nicely today that I'm gonna try to find as well. If so, they will magically appear shortly for your consumption.
Oh, and I like the ELO tune. I get that strong Beatles vibe/influence with that song. And I also liked the song Old Radio by Tommy West.
Nice show, Mike. Pretty mellow, but nice songs throughout. The only artist that bugs me is Ray Stevens, probably because I took calls for a video cassette of his greatest hits year ago and most people that called were, well, kind of stupid. Just never really got his humor, not even with the Streak song.
