This week I took a turn into a different direction and have chosen to post some music from my Musical infancy.
There are 3 Nazareth albums that played a role in what musical tastes I developed, so I've gone back and listened to some key tracks from Razamanaz, Loud 'N' Proud, and Rampant. All albums I lifted from my brothers collection and took over until he noticed. haha
So lets look at some roots rock, or formative rock tunes ...
Note: Ive pulled all posted tracks off the "Anthology" disc which is nicely remastered to enhance your listening experience. (also because I don't own Rampant on CD )

Beats me. I got Uriah Heep's Abominog remastered too. There were several Uriah Heep CD's. Can't remember which ones though. One thing the lady at the register said is that they were having inventory so they put everything from the back out. I think they hold all of the good stuff back for the employees.
Ahh!! So glad I stumbled across this SHT!! Old 70's Nazareth is just killer, awesome listens for me!!
I just love all 3 of these albums represented here!! Also think "Expect No Mercy" is just an awesome record! Agree with Niels on "Close Enough" and "Playin' The Game" being good records.
Somehow, I never got, or even heard, "No Mean City". Something else I need to add to my "get it" list!
The title track for "Razamanaz" was the first song I ever played with a band, once I switched from bass guitar to 6 string. That band I was in from about 1981 to 1985 opened up with "Razamanaz" many, many times.
Isn't "This Flight Tonight" a cover? Joni MItchell, maybe? The slide guitar lead in the middle of this track is just incredibly well played, and the notes so well placed.
The harmony vocals on "Sunshine" are top notch!
Another 4 for 4 SHT!!
You are a Wise man Gordon!
This Flight Tonight is indeed a Joni Mitchell cover.
