Classic Rock Bottom

A few weeks ago I featured a mystery song from this band and nobody guessed. So, in my infinite wisdom, I decided that I might as well toss this album up as a lost or forgotten album just because I could.

From 1994, this is Widespread Panic's fourth album and their first one I ever bought. Why I bought it I have no idea, but I think I was at Best Buy (when they mattered) and saw this album and decided that it couldn't be too bad since it had a cool album cover.

Or maybe I read about it somewhere and decided it was interesting enough so went to Best Buy (when they mattered) and bought it.

Either way, I got it and liked it. Liked it enough that I've picked up a few more Widespread Panic albums throughout the years but still like this one the best.

They're considered a jam band which always makes me think of The Grateful Dead who I can stand, but only in small doses. To me Widespread Panic is more of a southern rock band than a jam band, but I've never seen them in concert where I guess they, well, JAM.

Yeah, they have a hippy dippy do following. Still like 'em though.
