STARSHIP'S MICKEY THOMAS LEADS MY RECORD FANTASY IN OCTOBER:
Starship's
vocalist Mickey Thomas is involved in an interesting program that is also being used by Todd Rundergren for his next project. Here's the blurb:
"Starship had some of the biggest hits of the '80's and lead singer Mickey Thomas was the voice of those amazing hits. As frontman for Starship, Thomas belted out “We Built This City”, “Find Your Way Back”, “Sara”, “Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now”, and “Jane” among others. As lead singer of the Elvin Bishop Band he scored a #3 hit in 1976 with “Fooled Around and Fell In Love”. Now Starship fans can get into the studio in the making of his new album and have three days of fun, surprises, and living the rock life with a rock legend. Get in the studio for MyRecordFantasy with Starship's Mickey Thomas. Get an up-close, behind-the-scenes look in the making of the new album by one of the biggest hit makers of the 80's. This is a life-changing, once-in-a-lifetime experience you won't want to miss. No Experience Necessary!

I posted this for two reasons:

1. It's amazing what you can do these days if you have the cash. Could you imagine Led Zeppelin selling seats in the studio for the making of LZ IV?

2. I had absolutely no clue that Mickey Thomas did lead vocals on "Fooled Around And Fell In Love", but now that I think about it, it does sound like him.
