Classic Rock Bottom

I don't know about you guys, but I need a workout thread.  I have been so slack over the last year or two when it comes to excercising.  Why does that happen to me?  I feel so much better when I do excercise, it makes no sense not to do it.  It's great for your health and your looks.  But it's so much more satisfying to grab a bowl of ice cream and say that I'll go tomorrow.

 

I know from time to time we all get gung-ho about it.  But then comes that first time you blow it off, which turns into blowing it off for a week, then your not working out anymore.  So I'm starting a music related workout thread.  Anyone can post on it.  I'm gonna post every time I have a workout and what I listened to during the workout.  I'm hoping it keeps me inspired to continue excercising every week.  Maybe someone else can find some inspiration here and do the same.

 

Despite this lack of excercise, I've hovered around 225 pounds for the last year or two.  As of today, 11/2/10, I'm at 223 pounds.  My goal is to be around 210 pounds.  I want to be able to do some pull-ups without straining my upper back, which I can't do at 223.  I'm not looking for washboard abs, but I'd love to loose a few inches of the old belly.  And man-boobs are no fun, so I need a little help there.  So those are my modest goals and I'll post any progress that I make, maybe at least one person will join me on this.  Of course, if I stop posting, you know I've fallen off the wagon.

You don't know, how lucky you are, that you can work out. Man, I miss that. Take good care of your back (is that it? Or is that the wife? Can't remember).

I'm going to buy an IPod one of these days. I've never own one before, so I'm a bit exited about it. I think I'll go after the IPod Classic 160 Gb (40,000 songs) or maybe IPod Touch 16 Gb (8,000 songs).
I have the 160 and I love it. It's half full. The Touch's are nice, but not enough memory, and, unless you plan on downloading a lot of songs from iTunes, it's features just aren't needed.
Monday (11/29/10) 25 min. weight training - music mix
I finally  got off my behind and found my workout shoes today.  Forty minutes, chest, triceps and calves.  Listened to Blue Murder (S/T), which I have decided is a fantastic album.

Got in a 30 min. workout on Tuesday (4/12/11).  Worked back, biceps and forearms.  Listened to Armored Saint (La Raza).
