I talked about Cocaine a bit in Part One, and that made me think of an old tape I have had for years.
I brought it to the Radio Station one time and played it for Engineer Ken Stanley, and I always knew someday I would find a use for it.
It's a scene from a famous TV show about LSD, another Drug I have never touched.
Hey, I was strictly a beer or a shot guy,…

I haven't done an Odds & Ends show in quite a while, and coming off that long Series it seems due.
And I am finishing off a Vacation, just a few weeks off to relax and do things I mostly didn't get around to doing- hey I am a Professional at Lazy, I have a PHD, lol!
But I am looking forward to the remaining weeks I have in August to do the Vacation right!

This is it, the Grand Finale to what has been one of the longest Theme Series I've ever done.
I will start with a song I was holding back because the people populating it don't seem all that happy, it's Marriage by resignation.
But with a quick rebound, two people with a joyous, proper attitude toward Love & Marriage.

This is the most I have ever talked about Love & Marriage, and shockingly to me I still have a few more things to say...or at least the Music does, lol!
Starting with a song that declares that Rock & Roll itself was the result of a Wedding!
Then some Music for the Collateral Damage that is often the result of Weddings.
I have a true story about what I always did as the Best Man to the Groom before the Wedding.…

To open this Love & Marriage Chapter, I have a few familiar characters we know from Rock & Roll Songs who get Married.
Then, as I was browsing through my Asian and Russian Bride Catalogue, it occurred to me I could play a song about that too, lol!
And to close the Episode, I was thinking about how Wedding Couples put so much thought into that First Dance Song, a favorite that means something to them.
So I'll play…

I am STILL doing Love & Marriage, and will do so again next week.
Hey, you got a problem with that, lol?
There are times when I tackle a Musical Theme I can't stop the ideas.
This Episode will open with how I envisioned, if I envisioned it at all, the way I would have gotten married back when I was drinking heavily, and how it would be different today.
Certainly today it would NOT be in June, July or…

This is a very different Episode.
Starting with a guy perfectly willing to marry the woman but making a case for at least a Practical Arrangement.
Then that moment of realization that comes sometimes, where I realize I can go anywhere in a Theme Series.
One of the most troublesome things to a Marriage is War- the spouse is deployed, usually overseas, and that can make things very shaky at home.
But there have been…

After a week off for good behavior, or the 4th Of July, I will continue with our musical exploration of Love and Marriage.
And while June has always been the most popular month for Weddings, more and more people are getting hitched in July and August.
One of the things I long ago realized for this little Rockollections show is that you can tell Stories by playing particular Songs in a particular order!
So the Centerpiece…

I remind you this show is two years old, so some of what I say may be slightly dated.
Here's a bit of insight into this Rockollections thing- I had a working idea of how I was going to handle this second half of the show, starting with Schooner Fare and their song, We The People...those being the opening words of the U.S. Constitution.
They mention the Declaration Of Independence in there, and as I am listening to Schooner…
