ROCKOLLECTIONS: SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2012 PT.2 END

Over the years since September 11th, 2001 we have grown more divided, and that saddens me.
We were so united in those days following the attacks by muslim terrorists.
And those happy-go-lucky muslims continue- today invading the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and burning our flag...your flag...my flag...and any flag that isn't theirs!
The day saddens me...angers me...who the hell feels like writing?
This year I went deep into my library for songs I have never played for 9/11 before.
I'll put the final touch on this year's remembrance of September 11th with some thoughts and music about Taking a Stand, New York and the Country.
Again I'll speak what is on my mind, do some flag-waving and play some damned good music in the process!
With a rousing finale from a USO performance in Iraq that brings it to a close.
Be good to the Military...we'll NEED them!
God Bless America!

Here are the Part Two links to get to some music chosen for a good listen remembering 9/11, at Mike Pell Rockollections:

Hahahahaha...yeah, as the years have gone on I have lost touch with the band.

You probably don't know it because it's a Kiss album....that's actually good!

Because "The Elder" is good!

Worried about saving those deathbed words again I see, lol!
I don't even know that album.

RJ, like I said, I have played too many songs now to remember them all.

Wonder when and why I played that Kiss thing?
Maybe last year for the 10th Anniversary...I am too busy (and lazy, lol!) to go back myself!

Yeah Jon, I have noticed a slight hostility to Kiss.

What makes "The Elder" so different?

RJ doesn't just think, RJ knows, but is too lazy to go back through the shows to prove it.

Against Kiss? You have seen my hate spewed all over this site for Kiss (except "The Elder", of course)?

Jon,

Begrudgingly?

There is a grudge?

Kiss and make up...or maybe I should say...Kiss and makeup, lol!

Scott,
Hell I won't even capitalize that word!
Sometimes I wonder if there IS a moderate slam, if so it doesn't seem they have any balls to speak out.
Yes, technically it is the Mark-Almond Band- Jon Mark & Johnny Almond who played in John Mayall's band, then went out on their own.
Nice Nice Nice...you are the first person to even mention the Orleans song, never mind give it the Golden Pell, lol!
That's a terrific song and  I think I'll be playing more Orleans!
Turns out I am disappointed- RJ thinks I played it before.
But Jon liked it!!!
Thanks for listening and writing,
Mike
