ROCKOLLECTIONS: THE SUNDAY PAPERS PT.4

The next part of the Sunday Papers we may choose is frequently more of a daydreaming, window-shopping one, the Travel Section.
All those places we wish we could go to!
I’ll have a nice Mixed Bag of Music, including a song that mentions every form of Transportation imaginable, and by a surprising Artist.
Let’s Go Away For A While!
Next, a fun Section that I will continue with next week- Arts And Leisure.
Plenty of ways to go with that one!
This Newspaper thing is getting more enjoyable.
And hey, tip the kid who delivers the Sunday Papers!

Oh right, I thought that at the beginning of the song.

Musically very similar start, but then departs.

Nice reminder!

Yngve,
It was just a fictional Sunday Paper in order to play those songs.
I remember being poor as a kid using newspaper from time to time as toilet paper.
I'll never do that again, hurt my ass, and I am now strictly Charmin, lol!
Digital toilet paper...can't happen, lol!
Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Jon,
Jeez, I thought you went mad from eating BEE SPIT, LOL!
I've said before, personally I never liked Frank, thought he was a dick, but I am finally giving his music more chances.
Dion and The Police, what song?
Remember I did Movies?
I never actually ever finished it, just stopped.
I have 2 B-Movie songs, Bob Lind, and another by Elvis Costello.
Maybe I should pick that back up!
Thanks for the listen and writing, a LOT of comments, lol,
Mike

What is the date on these newspapers?  I'm guessing they are from the archives.

Not complaining, just reminded me of my childhood, when growing up in a poor family, newspaper had more pages, substance and purpose. For example, the yesterdays news was always today's toilet paper. Let me tell you, my bum saw more lead than South Missouri District can produces in a decade.

Lots of things has changed since then. The paper publication is going out of style in almost all of its format: newspapers, magazines, books, etc. but one paper product still thrives in these days, opposing the advancement of the modern technology. You guessed it right, it's the toilet paper. Let me see they come up with a digital version of that.

What I'm trying to say, your Sunday Paper is a neat idea to bring the old into the world of new. Great job.

When you start with Frank, everything else pales in comparison.

Ok, so....that Dion song? Isn't he borrowing something from a certain Police song? Not a bad song, but that similarity really bugged me for some reason.

Maybe you can play that song about B movies. I don't know what it is, but it just HAS to exist!!!!!
