THIS IS THE SERIES THAT GOT ME IN TROUBLE!
My computer is still out there in Lost Staplesland, and I will have more to say about that.
Just so you don't forget me, and coming off last night's avoiding a government shutdown BECAUSE of what I considered a Financial Crisis and still do, here is a series I did last year.
Some considered it controversial- I never had such angry feedback and never got in so much deep crap.
Especially Pt.4, the terrestrial station I am on wouldn't PLAY it!
Hell it was, and is, MY opinion, and I stand by it!
Here is Part One and Part Two of the series.
Let me know if we are still friends by the time we get to Part Eight, lol!

That's good.
I can't remember what I played and I DID the damn show, LOL!
RJ,
Well George was, now he's beyond the moon, lol!
Good song though, as were all in that set, despite the fact you didn't like 2/3 of them.
I always have to remember that for everyone who doesn't like a song there is another who does.
And Madonna was a good fit, and that always present element of surprise I enjoy so much.
Don't worry, you won't hear me play much of her, lol!
As for Lauper, I hope you read what I said about her voice- and for me, she has done some good songs I like.
That John was John Batdorf, formerly of Batdorf & Rodney who I have played before.
Personally, I think the best song I played was It's Money That Matters, a unusually great rocker by Randy Newman!
And dammit, I am RIGHT about our economic woes- I did these shows a year ago, and look what's going on in Washington now with all those nitwits!
Finally, that Billy Joel might fit somewhere else too- you haven't heard it all yet.
Sharp pick on your part, great minds think alike, lol!
Great to read your thoughts, thanks,
Mike
George Harrison, isn't he a quarter of the dudes that hung the moon?
Usually, I'd probably like most Police songs you play, but Spirits In The Material World has never been one of my favorites from them.
As for Madonna, I'll take a few of the pics that Scott mentioned and that's it. And for Cyndi Lauper, don't even give me any pics, and although I'm not a fan of hers at all, that song's not half bad.
John somebody that played right before C. Lauper was pretty cool.
By the way, I'm not sure if you ever got around to playing it or not, but Easy Money by Billy Joel would probably have fit in here somewhere.
You were relieved and then unrelieved
Hahahaha...well I do like keeping people off-balance!
I thought about it, and said what the hell, play Madonna just for the surprise factor.
Scott, one of your funniest lines ever, "OK OK, I'll admit to liking a few of her songs and lots of her pictures".
I couldn't have said it better, lol!
And thanks for the pass!
I like a number of Lauper songs, but she doesn't photograph as well as Madonna, and her voice drives me up a wall.
I am writing a biography of Lauper, Rosie Perez and Fran Drescher.
It will be written on SANDPAPER, LOL!
Thanks for the opinions, writing and listening,
Mike
OH Thank Goodness... I had a moment there where I thought you were going to spin some Madonna!
I like that Police track but thats about it from them!
WAIT!!! You did it! you played Madonna! OK OK, I'll admit to liking a few of her songs and lots of her pictures :-) But thats not one of them. But because your Mike, you get a pass this time.
A very New Wave-ish show Mike, I liked it (sans the Madonna track). I will also admit to liking that Lauper track. Probably the best one she's done.
There are no birthdays today
