Classic Rock Bottom

Going to do something a bit different here. This is a list of SOME of the best of something (limited to 10 songs per list, of course).

It's something I will continue.

It's something you can participate in with a list of your own.

All the songs have something in common, it's up to you to figure out what that is. If you can't, then you can't post. No crying and whining. You just can't.

I'm not saying that the 10 featured here are the 10 best. Again, they are SOME of the best (IMHO, of course), so don't say "how dare you not include _________." It's ongoing. It's gonna continue. It's like "The Neverending Story" (which actually DID end) of IMHO lists.

So here's the first 10....

1. Warren Zevon--Lawyers, Guns And Money

2. Deep Purple--Space Truckin'

3. UFO--Love To Love

4. Rush--La Villa Strangiato

5. Led Zeppelin--When The Levee Breaks

6. Thin Lizzy--Roisin Dub (Black Rose) A Rock Legend

7. Accept--Bound To Fail

8. Pete Townshend--Gonna Get Ya

9. Shooting Star--Last Chance*

10. Robert Plant--Network News

...which you can listen to HERE

*someone might question this, and I have an answer.

Jon, do you remember when the Mets didn't suck?  Yeah, me neither.

How did the Braves fare this year?

Same level of suckage as the Mets.

And what was the braves record vs the Mets this year?

Bonus question: How many flags caught on fire at Citifield compared to Turner Field?

Why are you asking me all of this stuff.  My team is the Expos.

The Mets have some very good pitching at the ML level and waiting in the minors. They need a SS and LF that can produce, David Wright needs to be healthy and they should be good to go for years to come. Of course they'll probably continue with a payroll around 85-89 mil and wonder why their scrap heap acquisitions don't pan out.

Anaheim isn't horrible, 155 mil. Compared to LA, they're pretty cheap. ALso consider that a good chunk of their payroll goes towards Pujols and Hamilton. They spend money, but they don't stupidly spend money. Plus, they're Angels.

The Braves over-achieved on the mound, and grossly under-achieved at the plate. A very boring team to watch this year. Pathetic, really. But I think the next couple of years for the Braves can be better than say...the Yankees! Man, they are stuck with aging, expensive, under producing players all over. Still have mega bucks to pay to Sabbathia, McCann, A-Rod, and Texeira. I love it when the Yankees dont get in the playoffs!
