Classic Rock Bottom

Women. Can't live with 'em...you know the rest. This is my list of songs that have women's names in them. The title has to have a chicks name, plain and simple. Of course, I could do another list about chicks
in general without their name being in the title, but that's neither
here nor there. Just take a look at this list, or listen to the player.
How many of these women have you known or do you know now? How many do
you wish you knew? And how many do you wish you'd never met?

Of course, with just 10 songs, this is a very abbreviated list. Who would be your top 10? I'm not offended if mine doesn't match yours, so don't be shy. Name your 10 as well.

1. Rio (Duran Duran) - Rio is very exotic. She's that woman you meet when you're on vacation somewhere that's a lot better than Augusta, Georgia. Unfortunately, you probably meet her when you're on your
honeymoon. Well, suffice it to say, I've never met her, but I've thought
about her often.

2. Lorelei (Styx) - Just about every dude has known Lorelei. She's that girl you fall head over heels for. You dig everything about this girl. Hell, you even want to live with her. Yes, I've known her before,
and I'm also married to her now.

3. Ah! Leah (Donnie Iris) - You know Leah. You once dated her, remember? And man does she look hot these days. All that chemistry, but it just got you in trouble.

4. Angie (The Rolling Stones) - If you've known this woman, you really tried to make it work. Both of you did. But after a lot of invested time, you've come to the realization that it's over. You're
both out of love and money. I'm divorced, so yeah, I know this woman.

5. Jane (Jefferson Starship) - Man, this chick likes to play games. Is she cheating on you? Is she leaving you? Hopefully you steered clear of her, I know I did.

6. My Sharona (The Knack) - Sharona is so hot. But she's not really giving you the time of day. You can't stop thinking about her and you'll never stop trying.

7. Maggie May (Rod Stewart) - The proverbial older woman. She lured you away from home. Kept you out of school. And it took all this time to figure it out. Although there have been older women I would like to
have known, I've never gotten to know them.

8. Cold Ethyl (Alice Cooper) - Please tell me nobody here knows Ethel...

9. Whole Lotta Rosie (AC/DC) - Okay, all you dudes that dated Rosie know who you are...

10. Amanda (Boston) - You finally found her. This is the one you want to hold on to. You love her. Better tell her before it's too late.

Okay, the player is located here.  Please enjoy!

I like your list, but you probably could've started and stopped with Toto on this category... Just saying they got a lot of girl named tunes. Especially if their names end with the letter "A"

Angela
Manuela Run
Mama
Rosanna
Hollyanna
Lea
Pamela
Anna
Mushanga (seems like they've run out of girls names that end with "A" at this point)

And to be fair they have some that don't end in "A"..

Goodbye Girl
99
Lorraine
Goodbye Elenore
White Sister
Carmen
Mrs Johnson
Miss Sun
Melanie
Rosanna was almost on it...
The only one, that comes to my mind right now is City Boy's "Goodbye, Lorelei". Good song, but I don't think anyone here knows it.

Good list, RJhog. I'll listen to it later on.
I don't know who Donnie Iris is, but I like the song "Ah! Leah".

I also like "Jane" by Jefferson Starship. I don't think I've heard that one before either. If so, it's a long time ago.

BUT the real classics here are of course "Angie", "Maggie May" and "Whole lotta Rosie".

Nice playlist.
I struggled with whether or not I should include Maggie May. Not because I don't like it, it's a great song. Like you said, a classic. But you can hear it anytime on the radio, so I wasn't sure. But in the end, I realized it told a great story of the older woman, so I had to include it. Glad you liked it.
I you want some more Donnie Iris, just ask.
Nice list Rjhog, but you must be lodge in my mind. Wait till you see the next Lost/Forgotten album title. Plus one of the songs. Would've fit quite nicely here....
I will be watching...
