I was always just okay on this song.  It's not bad, but just never really moved me.  Would you say that they arose from that obscurity in 1985?

I think that "obscurity" is too harsh. Both "Private Audition" and "Passionworks" were top 40 albums, but both only had a song or two that are maybe remembered. They just had to refine their sound and poof out their hair to hit it really big. 

I love Passionworks. Thought it should have been their return to superstardom... Your right though, obscurity may be too harsh of a word, but I think you know what I mean....
