Classic Rock Bottom

NEW (and CLASSIC) VIDEOCORNER#29 - (DANKO JONES & TOTO )

The giant-chorused track is taken from the album Rock And Roll is Black and Blue, which was released last month and charted in ten countries across Europe. The band are due to cross the continent on tour in the coming weeks – check their website for the latest information.

This is from around the time, that I became aware of the band TOTO. I didn't really like this style of rockmusic back then, though, not until they released their best album "Isolation" in 1984

Danko Jones (5 Superbowl Victories)

This is exactly what I expected from this band.  No frills rock and roll.  Riff rock.  Nuthin' fancy.  And I love it.  I'm looking forward to this being released here on Tuesday.  The video has been done a million times.  It doesn't add or take anything away from the song.  The strobing affect was a bit irritating.

Toto (5 Superbowl Victories)

This song is great.  I really never noticed the excellent drumming until today.  And in addition, how 'bout that guitar solo.  Again, I've heard it many times but never really thought much about it.  But it too is really cool.  The video is okay.  Bobby Kimball looks like that guy at karaoke night at the local bar that thinks he should have been in a band.  Awesome.

Jeff Porcaro is so underrated, one of rocks best drummers ever and one who left us all too soon!

DANKO JONES ... 3 Danish assisting little old ladies across the street

Last time I heard these guys it was a mixed reaction, what was really good was really very good! But what wasn't truly wasn't.  Giant Chorused is a good description Niels, the chorus makes the tune, its the rest that's a tad bit on the pedestrian side.  But overall its pretty good!

TOTO ...  5 Corporate Danish blazing new trails

Somebody once said that this song was the original tune that launched Corporate rock.  I don't know if that's right or not, but who cares!  Its a great tune with a cool riff and a band who knows how to play!

Danko Jones--5 of that

I have 3 DJ albums and don't remember anything from any of them. Not that they're bad, far from it. But nothing really stuck with me. This song is catchy, but I think after a week I'll have completely forgotten about it. Unless I play it over and over and over again.

Toto--6 of this

I remember this song. I thought this song was really cool when it came out, then they did really mellow stuff and I thought they sucked. But I now like Toto a lot, like their heavy and mellow stuff. Don't remember ever seeing this video before., it looks like something they played on Solid Gold, but it's not bad for the time.

I've totally lost the rating system here!!! What are we working with here? Somebody reel us in!!!

Danko Jones - The get 5 of something!

Toto -Of course, they get 5!!!
