Neal Schon ... 2 Danish with Steve Perry's number hidden in the jelly filling

C'mon Neal!  This kind of talent needs to paired up with Steve Perry, its really great that you are continuing to do great work like this and even Journeys new release is OK, but its missing the song writing and vocal styling of he-who-made-you-famous!  I have a feeling that since I heard this one track that that's all I need to know about this release.  So while this was cool listen, and its interesting to see his new lady friend showcased (Isn't this the same gal who crashed the White House party with her then-husband some few years back?) - I prefer he get back to the business of doing Journey properly.

Y&T ... 3 Cheese Danish buried in an 80's time capsule

I love Y&T, really I do, but this album really didn't work for me as I think they really tried to hit the mainstream and create some pop-glam-metal.  Problem is that its not what they're best at!  Earthshaker, Black Tiger, and Mean Streak - now that's a classic tri-fecta!!  Don't get me wrong, the tune is OK, just not very interesting and the video falls into a cookie-cutter "nerd wants hot girl, nerd gets rejected, becomes a super hero and saves girl theme."  But alas, its a tired format.  But always goods to see the band perform on stage, that parts cool...

Neal Schon - 2 Krispy Kremes

While, I love Neal Schon & giving him anything less than 4 is blasphemy, this was just so so. It's always great to see Neal shredding the strings, but not for a whole song It gets a little tired & repetitive. I hate to admit it, but I was kinda' bored by the whole video.

Y&T -3 Krispy Kremes

My first thought, definitely 80's video! The video was total cheese, every cliche' in the book. The effects were bad, the acting was bad................yeah, it was bad. On the other hand I love Y&T, the music still sounds great & I like the performance footage.

Neal Schon--3 Twizzlers

I liked this, I like instrumental stuff because I got class. He sounds really good, as he usually does. Parts of the song reminded me of the riff from Nazareth's "Changin' TIme". Is that really the scag that crashed the White House party? Yuck.

Y&T--1 Milk Dud

Scott hit the nal square on the head. I had this album when it came out and what a friggin' letdown. The cover art kinda sucked too, so I should have judged the album by that.  The video is silly.

Neal Schon - Two/Six

Schon is one of the great melodic guitar players of our time.  But this is just bland.  So is the video.   A video of him sitting in his home studio and playing all of his different guitars would have been better than this.

Y&T - Five/Six

Maybe we need to whip out the cheese factor again.  This video is full of it.  It's so 80's that I love it.  The song is good, not great,  but better than Neal Schon above.  But how 'bout those video graphics?
