Bachman--Thumbs In The Middle

First song sounded like an old Who song, especially the beginning.

Second song reminds me of The Pursuit Of Happiness. The geetaring from Neil Young and Peter Frampton on the 4th song seemed a little out of place, almost like it didn't quite fit in.

Third song wasn't that memorable.

Fourth song sounds like something from BTO with cowbell. Reminds me of a BTO song, but I don't want to look it up.

Fifth song has a nice groove, but he sounds quite bored singing. I still like the grooviness, though.

Overall not a horrible listen but not something that stands out.

You have to admit...  It's kinda nice to be out of Georgia this weekend...

You're never too old to Rock and Roll, how much more proof do you need?

BINGO!!!

I like this.  I own it already, but I still listened to the five tunes you picked out.  Not a bad track here if you ask me.  You can pretty much count on some nice guitar work with Bachman.  To me, the rhythm playing is pretty darn heavy.  One thing about him though, he's certainly not the greatest vocalist in the world.  Not that I'm complaining about his ability. His voice has graced some true classics.  Jon will just love this comment, but he reminds me of Ace Frehley.  Not that he sounds like him in particular, but they both deliver their vocals in a very "untrained" way.  Some of it almost sounds spoken.  They seem to have problem with melody.

Anyway, I like this release.  I can't say that it will end up in my Top 10 albums this year, but it's a quality release for sure.

It is not something I would probably go out and buy but not bad at all.
