Don't even have to listen to that second band to know it completely 100% sucks.

Its in the "agreement"...

and besides...  the new Tommy Bolin isnt out yet!

Crap. And I signed it.

ZZ TOP - 4.5 out of 6

This is a really good record!! The only thing, that keeps me from buying it, is that I can't find the "Deluxe-version" with 12 tracks on it, because the two extra tracks are very good also, and I like it, when Dusty Hill sings the lead, like he does on one of those tracks. The best track on the album is "I Gotsta Get Paid". The best ZZ Top-track I've heard since "Afterburner", and that's quite a few years ago. Billy Gibbons is sooo cool. It suits his voice, that he's not that young anymore, and his guitar-sound is as great as ever.

By the way, Scott: I thought you would post the new Neal Morse-album? Then it's up to me, I guess, and that probably means, that RJhog is going to have to listen to ONE track, that runs 33 min!!!

Oh, and of course I will post the new Rival Sons as well, for you americans, so you'll know, if you want it for christmas

I would have loved to post the new Neal Morse, but I haven't been able to find it in stores and didn't order it in time for this posting.

Glad you liked the ZZ Top, I also thought it was a strong comeback for them...

ZZ Top (Thumbs Up)

This is a very strong album.  I'm not even much of a fan, but this is great.  I love the geetar work.  This is easily Top 10 material for this year, possibly even Top 5 for me.

Matchbox Twenty (Thumbs Even)

I don't like MT.  I thought they were okay at one time.  But then a band that had the ability to rock it out just went limp.  This release is somewhere in the middle for me, which is better than I was expecting.  The first track is very strong.  This is what this band should always sound like.  I like elements of the second track.  The verses, not so much, but the chorus is cool.  It's pop that's better than the vast majority of today's pop music.

The third track is the MT that I was expecting.  This track stinks.  But a very strong track comes next in English Town. I think this is the best song here, followed closely by Parade.  Why can't the whole album sound like these two tracks.  If it did, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat.  The last track is very so-so.

Pleasantly surprised you gave MB20 a thumbs even..  I do agree with you that English Town is easily the best song on the entire CD

ZZ Top--Thumbs 3/4 up maybe?

It's ok, but nothing really stuck with me. Geetars are great, nice drums (not the processed stuff), but I think it's gonna take a few more listens for me to really get into it. I ALMOST ordered this, but held off since I knew ne of you fine folks would be posting it here. On classic-rock-bottom.

Matchbox 20--Thumbs higher than high, the highest thumbs could possibly go.

Hands down, this is THE ALBUM OF THE YEAR. Who cares about the warble voice or the sucky songs. THIS IS THE ALBUM TO JUDGE ALL ALBUMS BY. Who cares of he sounded like Rick Springfield and then Steve Winwood? ALL ALBUMS PALE IN COMPARISON TO THIS! The EPIC song "English Town" just BLOWS AWAY ALL EPIC SONGS FROM THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE. I am now at a loss for words, I can only JUST BOW DOWN TO THE BRILLIANCE OF MATCHBOX 20!!!!!!

It's opposite day isn't it?

Or you could just say you hate it.

No. Why doesn't any believe me?
