I picked up the Rock Candy reissues of the two Target albums (featuring Jimi Jamison on vocals) this past week.

Rock Candy does a great job!

Yes, they certainly do. I've bought a few of their reissues in the past.

I picked up the Cobra CD First Strike, the new Dead Daisies CD Make Some Noise and the new EP from The Ann Wilson Thing entitled #2.

Hows the Ann Wilson EP?

I've only listened to it once so far. I liked the first song, a live rendition of "Manic Depression".

The other three didn't initially do anything for me, but I'm planning on listening again before doing a review.

Today I picked up two albums:

Sabaton - The Last Stand

Kiefer Sutherland - Down In The Hole

  • The Commodores - In The Pocket
  • The Commodores - Hot On The Tracks
  • Uriah Heep - Abominog (Remastered)
  • Uriah Heep - The Magician's Birthday(Remastered)
  • Nazareth - Close Enough For Rock N Roll / Play N The Game

  • Nazareth - Rampant
  • The Motels - Shock
  • The Motels - Careful
  • The Rolling Stones - Bridges To Babylon
  • Walter Egan - Fundamental Roll
  • Chris Robinson Brotherhood - Any Way You Love, We Know How You Feel
  • The Dead Daisies - Make Some Noise
  • The Clarke Duke Project (Vols 1-3)
  • Earth Wind and Fire - Electric Universe (Remastered)
  • Led Zeppelin - The Complete BBC Sessions
  • Opeth - Sorceress
  • Kansas - The Prelude Implicit
  • Huey Lewis and The News - Huey Lewis and The News
  • Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Let Me Up (I've Had Enough)
  • Tom Petty - Full Moon Fever
  • Fleetwood Mac - Mirage (Remastered)
  • Porcupine Tree - Nil Recurring (EP)
  • The Rolling Stones - Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out
  • Gary Wright and Wonderwheel - Ring of Changes
  • Level 42 - Level 42
  • Level 42 - The Pursuit of Accidents
  • Scorpions - Fly to the Rainbow

Blackberry Smoke - "Like An Arrow"

I was reading about a disc in the latest issue of Classic Rock magazine. It sounded interesting in both the interview with the artist and in the review later in the issue.

But I wasn't expecting to actually be able to buy it because most record stores don't stock what I would think would be considered a low profile release these days.

But I stopped at a Newbury Comics today and picked up the new Ian Hunter & The Rave Band CD Fingers Crossed.

Now, I haven't heard any previews of songs or anything so I'm coming in completely cold to the disc but I'm hoping the album lives up to they hype.

I bought it on the strength of the track Dandy, the tribute to Bowie.  I hear it quite often on Little Steven's Underground Garage, it's a very popular song there.  I've listened to the entire disc twice I think, and it's a pretty good disc.  And I've never owned anything by him before.
