3. New Orleans

4. Soldier's Angel

5. Ghosts Are Gone

Her seventh studio album and first since 2001, it's not a bad album at all. Was kind of on the fence on buying this, expecting it to be totally soft rock, but it isn't. She sounds older, but still sings (and looks) quite good. Don't know where the comparisons to mod-late 70's Fleetwood Mac are coming from though....

If you liked "Bingo!" from 2010, then you'll probably like this one as well. If you didn't....well, it's a cover album of old blues songs, just like "Bingo!". I like "Bingo!" a bit better, but this is a good listen. Cool album cover.

Stevie Nicks (Thumbs 60% Up)

I liked 3 of the 5 tracks here, especially Soldier's Angel.  It's certainly sounds better than I expected, but I probably won't purchase, at least not now.

Steve Miller (Thumbs Down)

I thought I had read somewhere that this album would be new material, which I thought I might purchase.  But it's more covers, so I'm gonna say no.  I will say that it wasn't difficult at all to listen to, just not my cup 'o tea.

Good new music post Jon.

Stevie Nicks ...  Thumbs Up

Not too bad at all.  Little more mellow than I was hoping for, but she gets better with every listen.  Only one I was on the fence about was the second track.  It was just OK.  Ghosts are gone is cool!!!

Steve Miller ... Thumbs sideways

I liked Bingo as well, but not enough to purchase, mostly because it was just covers.  I was hopeful when I heard about this release, but here we are yet again, another collection of covers.  argghhh!  But hey - This isnt too bad!  Love the geetar work and the production is top notch.  On the fence for purchase because this style blues isnt really something I would put in very often.  I think this would be killer as music in a little corner bar, with shuffleboard tables, on a Satruday night.

STEVIE NICKS - THUMBS almost UP

The first track was VERY, very good. One of the best (new) songs I've heard in 2011, and the next couple of tracks was also good, but I did'nt like "Soldiers Angel" (just like Eminence Front, RJhog!!). The last track was just okay. The album sounds better than I would've expect. I've never been a fan. I had a little crush on her about 30 years ago, me and zillions of others I guess. Good pick, Jon. I'm especially glad, that I heard the first track.

STEVE MILLER BAND - THUMBS DOWN

Every time I hear "The Joker" or "Abra-ca-dabra", I want to kill someone  . I HATE those songs, and therefore I HATE Steve Miller Band.  The first song sounds like "I'm the Face", I've only heard it with "The High Numbers" (The Who, of course), but I know it was a cover even then. I like the slide-guitar on "Can't be satisfied", though.
