Report: STEVE PERRY Wants To Rejoin JOURNEY

Classic Rock has issued the following report:
Ex-JOURNEY frontman Steve Perry has amazed his former bandmates by asking to rejoin the group.

Perry left the Bay Area AOR legends for good in 1998 to embark on a solo career. He was replaced by Steve Augeri and then Jeff Scott Soto. Filipino YouTube discovery Arnel Pineda took over vocal duties in 2007.

Journey have since enjoyed renewed success after their classic track 'Don’t Stop Believin’' – with Perry on vocals – was featured in The Sopranos and covered by the cast of hit TV musical Glee.

YES!!! HELL YES!!! LET HIM BACK IN!!! DO IT NOW! Sorry Arnel, but your 15 minutes is up.

If Perry is ready then Journey would be out of their collective mind to deny this opportunity for them to regain the superstardom that has eluded them since his departure (pun intended), not to mention renewed credibility, and continued worldwide success at a Platinum level.

I would like to suggest that Neal Schon get on the phone and simply steal a quote from the Blues Brothers... "Were putting that band back together!"

Can you imagine the tunes Perry has written since we last heard him?

You know what? I am really not surprised. Even with all the denials througout the years, could you NOT see this happening? I've always felt that if Gilmour and Waters could get back together, anyone could.

Scott...can you clarify your feelings on this one? Just kiddin'. My first thoughts were along the same line. I was so happy I listened to Evolution. But I wonder if this is BS from Schon, trying to make the headlines or jab at Perry. Either way, I'd feel very shaky about my job if I were Arnel. I don't wish him any bad luck, but Journey is best served with Perry!
