Holy moly!  Me likey this a lot!  Shall I say "SMASH"!

Another "tribute-band". It's insane how much this dude sounds like Tate, so I guess, this won't be a fresh start for the band. But I like the sound of it. I can only say STASH. It's not Queensryche without Degarmo and Tate, but it sure sounds like it.

Other than Queenstryche's first EP, I have just never been able to get into them. I still just prefer the good ol' rock n roll of the 70's mainly.

However this isn't a horrible song by any stretch and this guy on vox does sound a bit like Tate (but this is coming from a guy who hardly ever listens to the band). So I will give it a SMASH. But you know, when a band carries on without it's lead singer I have always had difficulty in being able to give them credit as that actual band.

It's been so long since I have participated in these threads that maybe this has been covered already but that might be a good topic. Discussing what bands have either made it or tanked after they carried on without their lead singer or some other main member.

Replacement singers has been talked about in pieces and parts on here but no formal topic for one-stop shopping.  Hidden Treasures posted the topic but it was specific to Joe Lynn Turner, and then once before with REO...

I can only come up with two examples, where the relacement singer were as good, as the original singer. Dio in Sabbath, and lynn Turner in Rainbow.
.......maybe Coverdale in Purple.

I'm going to go STASH on this one.  I like it enough but only in a cautious way...  I kind of got the feeling that if you already own Mindcrime and/or Empire then you already have this style.  I must admit I am curious to hear more...

Here's my opinion.  They could continue on in "chaos", or do this.  This song is better to me than anything on Chaos.  Of course, I haven't heard the rest of the album, but I'd put my money on it over Tate's Queensryche.  I guess we'll know soon enough.  But I didn't care for Chaos, so I'm glad to see 'em get back to the Operation Mindcrime and Empire sound, after all, those are my two favorite Queensryche albums.

I'm intrigued enough to go SMASH. Sue he sounds a bit like Tate, but they are rockin'. I really like the last album (one of the few), but it's nice to hear them crank it up. Now for the rest of the album, or will it W.E.T. us?
