POISONBLACK - MERCURY FALLING

Poisonblack is a Finnish metal/hard rock band led by singer/guitarist Ville Laihiala, known for his vocals with the band Sentenced from 1996 - 2005. After the departure of Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto sometime after the release of their first album, Escapexstacy, Laihiala, the band's principal songwriter, assumed vocal duties himself and has since led Poisonblack out of the gothic genre of their firs album and in a musical direction that closely mirrors that of his former band. This is from their new album "Drive" released 27th of april 2011.




THE POODLES - I WANT IT ALL

The Poodles are a glam metal/heavy metal band from Sweden. They are best known for their hits "Metal Will Stand Tall" and "Night of Passion", the latter of which was played in the Swedish Melodifestivalen in 2006.
The band was formed by singer Jakob Samuel (a.k.a. Jake Samuels) who in the early 1990s was Talisman's drummer, bassist Pontus Egberg (ex Lion Share), guitarist Pontus Norgren (also in Talisman, Humanimal) and drummer Christian Lundqvist.
The Poodles played in the Swedish Melodifestivalen contest in 2008, this time with E-Type. In addition, they played at the Sweden Rock Festival in 2006 and 2008. From their new album "Performocracy" released in 2011.



STAMPEDE - HAVING FUN

“Having Fun”, the new video from British melodic rockers STAMPEDE, has been released. The song comes off the band’s forthcoming studio album, “A Sudden Impulse”, which will arrive on May 9 on Grind That Axe/Rock Candy Records.




VILLIAN VS VILLIAN - THRILLOGY

I don't really know anything abou this band, and can't find much on the net, other than they come from Chicago, and this is probably from a new or coming album,



FLEET FOXES - GROWN OCEAN


I'll be very surprised, if any of you'll like this, but I just might buy the cd, when it's released next week, because sometimes I like to but something like this, like last year, when I bought Band Of Horses, Arcade Fire and some other band, I can't remember the name of. The kind of band, one of my 2 favorite magazines, "UNCUT", is full of. Is'nt this kind of music called "Americana"? I've just recieved a brand new copy of the magazine today by mail, with Bob Dylan on the cover, so there.




VINNIE VINCENT INVASION - BOYZ ARE GONNA ROCK

I bought the first 2 albums by VVI (did they make more than 2??), but I did'nt like them much. I've allways hated his guitar-style, but he was a member of KISS, so you had to buy his albums then. Crap, I say.



CHEAP TRICK - IF YOU WANT MY LOVE

I love this track. One of many, many great tracks from one of the best american bands ever.
"One on One" is one of those albums, I only had/have on vinyl, but I simply have to have it on cd one of these days.

Man, can a singer be anymore friggin' shrill????Jeez. Never bought this album and guess what? NEVER WILL. Video kind of started off good, I thought it was a little person at the beginnning, but it wasn't. Just bad all around.

Like the song, like the video. They are goofy so no problem with me. As long as you never, never, ever post "The Flame". Please. Never.

Poisonblack (1 Point)

Pretty much a carbon copy of Pain from last week.  The music is good, but the vocalist is not.  The video gets 1 point because of the hot chicks, especially the brunette.
