So what are you listening to right now? Any genre is cool.
For me:
Scott's Hidden Treasure
Depeche Mode - Wrong (courtesy of Niels)
Kim Mitchell - Akimbo Alogo (courtesy of Jon)
Next week's Album of the Week (hint: think orchestra)
Shinedown - The Sound of Madness

Funny! I swear I thought of you when I put it on. And I remembered thinking that I dont understand why you and other Kiss fans did not like it. It's not as good as Sonic Boom, but its still ok I think. I actually think Sonic Boom is very good.
I think Boom is a bit better, but I'm not much of a fan of either. The last Kiss album that I still enjoy spinning is the sometimes hated Carnival Of Souls. I don't at all like the idea of Paul "writing a song" specifically for Eric to sing. If Eric can't write a good song but you want him to sing, just give him one of your good songs. Or one of Gene's better songs. I don't have anything at all against Eric and Tommy being in the band, it's just that I don't think the band is as good with those four as I thought it was with Gene, Paul, Eric and Bruce. Just my opinion, of course.
Oh, and they need an outside producer to sift through some of the crap. Paul and Gene just don't wanna answer to anybody, therefore they are making sub-standard Kiss albums in my opinion.
I do think Wall Of Sound is a cool song.
I do agree that the line up you mention was the most talented one. Even over the original line up, to be honest. Ace's new album has some outstanding guitar playing on it...really the best I've ever heard him play. But I always thought Kulick was a better player than even Ace....at least back then. "Carnival" is a good one, for sure.
I just think they mesh better with Bruce. Paul or Gene would never admit it because they have sold everyone a bill of goods stating how wonderful it is to be in this band now. Again, not trying to rag on Tommy, but Kiss made better music for RJ when Bruce was around.

Tired of that album, but found it cheap. It's decent music to listen to while rearranging the music room.
