Classic Rock Bottom

Okay, here are the rules. Name one or perhaps two, of your favorite obscure albums. Here is the kick, it needs to be from bands/performers that never had a lot of commercial success or any real hits. For example, if someone where to say Winger-Karma, which is a good album with limited sales, it would not count because Winger had a couple of very successful albums early in their career. I am looking for bands that never had their moment in the sun.

I will start with- Joanna Dean-Misbehavin' (this was a hard rocking album from a very promising singer at the time) It is very hard to find a copy of this and that's a shame because it is terrific.

If anyone is interested in this album, there are a few used CD copies on Amazon but the price is outrageous. However, you can find a vinyl copy for only 12 bucks, which is well worth it.

"Stranger" by the band Stranger from 1981-82.

Niels, I am unfamiliar with Stranger, but it looks cool. Could you give us a rundown on that album, etc?

well, first of all, it's not cheap to get : $63,15 for a used copy at Amazon.com.

I've got it on vinyl, and I really liked it back in ´81-´82. It's an american band, and it's kind of "party melodic heavy rock", best number would probably be "Jackie's so bad". I've allways liked the album-cover too.

One that pops in my mind is.....Atomic Opera, "For Madmen Only". If you like King's X, you'll like this.

Lake

There's also thise one:

The guitarist, Hank Sherman from danish band Mercyfull Fate dropped out of that band and founded AOR-band, Fate.

This is their debut-album from 1985. I did post a video a while back, but that was from their second album, and I don't think, that anyone really liked it at all, but this album I really liked, at the time.
