Enough of the talk, and on with the video's: 4 new(ish) and 3 classic. Here we go:
1. SIXX AM - LIES OF THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE

I'm going to do this a bit differently, not watch all at once (right now), but just pick and choose.
The first one I watched was
Skillet--1 point
Not bad, except the flashing lights made me have a seizure. Decent song except both singers had that warbly sound effect which get annoying. But, I did like both voices, and thought it was really cool that the drummer was female and sang. Plus the lead singer was the bass player so you have something you really don't see that often. Think I've heard this song somehere before...a movie maybe?
Sixx AM (1 point)
Zero for the video. It's just a bunch of pictures, and while some of those are cool, it's still just pictures. Pictures are for books, not videos. The song is cool. And I agree with Niels, it's light years ahead of anything Motley Crue has done in a while.
John Waite (1.5 points)
That song really fits John Waite. I think it's very good. Maybe I should pick this album up. The video is fair, so half a point for that. But why am I getting an image of Captain Jack Sparrow when I'm watching John Waite's performance?
Skillet (0.5 points)
I like the dual vocals and the fact that the drummer is a female, but the song's just okay. So 0.25 points, and 0.25 points for the black and white video.
Oz (0 points)
I don't like the song at all. It reminds me of Judas Priest, and I don't like JP. So -1 point for the song, but I bump it back to zero strictly because of the chicks in the video.
I'm not finished, I'll watch more a little later.
SIXX AM ... .25 points
Its better than what the Crue has done for the past 10 years or more. But at the end of the day its just ok. The pictures, while interesting, didnt really enhance the song or help me understand what the point they wanted me to get was. So its just a .25 overall.
JOHN WAITE ... .67 points
I have this downloaded from my subscription site so that I could see if its worth the final purchase. I'm torn right now. I really like the entire project but not enough to buy just yet. And this song isnt one of the better ones. Rather boring actually. .67 points because Im two-thirds there, but cant get over the hump...
SKILLET ... .5 points
Just for the record, Ive never heard of them either. Kinda cool to see a lead singing female drummer, cant say that I ever seen that before. Stylistically they arent separating themselves from any other mainstream rock band, but the band make up is unique, so they have a Live show thats pretty cool. 0 points for the song since its pretty much just like all of the rest, but .5 for a pretty decent performance video.
OZ ... -1 points
I can only say that that was awful.
It's been a while, but here I go:
SIX AM - 2 points
I really like this one. Maybe I'll buy this, when it's out. It did'nt bother me at all, that it was mostly pictures, it was a cool video, I think.
JOHN WAITE - 0.5 points
Well, it certainly sounds like John Waite, and I agree with Scoot, that it's rather booring, and I too thought he had some weird moves, but I did not think of Captain Sparrow??!! I won't buy this one, and the last JW-album I bought was 22-23 years ago.
Skillet - 0.5 points
It's not a bad song, and I am too impresed by the drumming and singing lady. She sings rather good, not so good looking, though, but the other lady is!!
Oz - -2 points
This is not good at all. Lousy song and a lousy video. Sorry about that, or not!
Ozzy Osbourne - 1 point
I like the song. When I'm very tired, I think of this song, but I did'nt like the video, except where Ozzy frightend the little ballarina's.
Ben Fold's Five - 2 points
Best song on that album, well best song from BFF. I ended up being 2 albums, and that was it. I've allway like piano's. I play myself a little bit.
Desmond Child - 1 point
Good album actually. Not the best song on the album, but not the worst either. Video was 80's cr.p!!
Quoting Niels "I play myself a little bit".
That's funny, I play with myself a little bit...
Ozzy (1 point)
The song is decent. I'm not a huge fan of it, but I'd certainly listen to it. But then again, I've never been a huge Ozzy solo fan. I probably like him more now than I ever have. Anyway, the video is a little cheesy, especially the terrible acting and Ozzy's hair and makeup. But he is a legend, so 1 full point.
Ben Folds Five (0.75 points)
A half point for the video because for some reason, and I'm not sure what that reason is, the video was kinda funny. I'm not real big on the song, but I dig the dude's bass guitar and the bass line in the song. Liked the piano playing too. I wanna say Ben Folds Five had one song I liked, maybe it was called "Brick". Not sure.
Desmond Child (-2 points)
Niels, I really don't remember this. And I truly believe that's a good thing. This is horrible. This guy co-wrote some awesome songs: I Was Made For Loving You, Heaven's On Fire, Under The Gun, Who Wants To Be Lonely, King Of The Mountain, Reason To Live and Hide Your Heart (all by Kiss). He co-wrote You Give Love A Bad Name, Livin' On A Prayer, Blood On Blood, Wild Is The Wind, This Ain't A Love Song (all by Bon Jovi), Poison (Alice Cooper), Dude Looks Like A Lady, Angel, What It Takes, Hearts Done Time (all by Aerosmith) and I Hate Myself For Loving You (Joan Jett). But he's also co-written Bang Bang You, Uh! All Night, Radar For Love, Let's Put The X in Sex (all by Kiss), Bad Medicine (Bon Jovi), countless songs with Cher, and this mess. And to top that off, there's just something about a dude making love to the camera and thinking he's sexy that makes me wanna puke. As you can see, I'm not a fan of this, but the rest of the VOTW were cool.
OZZY... 0 points
I'm glad Im not the only one who couldn't get into this version of Ozzy. You know that part where he sings "Im So Tired"? well... me too, but from watching this video. Zero's out of respect for his earlier work
BEN FOLDS FIVE... .5 points
Heres the extent of my Ben Folds knowledge. He is from North Carolina. Best part of the song? The shameless plug for Chik-Fil-A. The video is kinda fun to watch though so I'll give him credit for that.
DESMOND CHILD... -1.5 points
I can only piggy-back on RJ's comments. How does such a prolific songwriter come up with this crap? I always paid extra attention to the songs with his writing credits on them. I probably still will, but I will never give him solo attention. Yuck!!!
