Right! Here we go again: 4 new videos, 1 not so new and 2 classics (sorry about the mess!!):

THE STROKES - UNDER COVER OF DARKNESS

Angles is the fourth studio album by American rock band The Strokes, which will be released on March 21, 2011 in the UK and a day later in the United States . It will be their first album since the release of First Impressions of Earth in 2006, their longest gap to date between two consecutive studio albums. After touring in support of First Impressions of Earth, The Strokes went on an extended hiatus in 2007 and then regrouped two years later to begin writing new material for a fourth album.


REVIS - FROM THAT POINT ON

Revis is an American post-grunge band from Carbondale, Illinois. They released one major label album, Places for Breathing, in 2003 before disbanding in 2005. The band reunited five years later and will be releasing a second album, Do We Have to Beg? on May 20, 2011.

This is a danish band, that I'm sure none of you have ever heard of before. This si a song from 2002. I like it, but what do YOU think?



TESLA - STIR IT UP

This is without a doubt my favorite Tesla-song. I can't figure out anything else to say about this one?!

THUNDER - SHE's So FINE

 

The english band Thunder formed in 1989, and was probably a little bit too late to make it big, but too bad for them, because they ARE good. I have'nt got any albums, but one of my friends has a few, and when we've had a few beers at his house, and he put's one of the Thunder-cd's on, I'll allways promise myself to buy the album, when I get sober, but it never happen's.

Awesome.  I'm looking forward to this one.  I dig Revis, and I do own their other album.  I also like the Foo Fighters song and the Danko Jones song (my favorite from that album), so I can't wait to see the videos.

Song sucks. Best part of the video was the clock...ON MY COMPUTER!

I actually like that Strokes-song and video. Probably alone on that one, I guess. Might pick up the album on monday.

And while I'm at it: I've changed my mind about that Foo Fighters song: I like it and imo a GREAT video, so now you know!

Not sure what this means but this is what comes to mind...  It sounds light and fluffy, like theres no substance to it.  I cant picture hearing this live in concert ... or ever again.  I guess that means I dont care for it.

I guess being from CARBONville is somehwat prophetic since they soudn the same as everyone else nowdays!  Better than the strokes though...

First off, Im a fan so I have a bias.  I like this, its quirlky like them. These guys probably have the best stage presence of anyone sitll active on the business today!  1 point and growing

Scott's right..this is better than the Strokes. But so are my farts. This just sounds like.....wait for it.....other bands out there that I don't like. ANd I must be on a hair kick, cause that drummer annoyed the farts out of me (which sounded better than The Strokes!) 

 

Foo Fighters wouldn't play but really, I don't mind

Daniel and Frodo together? Sweet! Docking a point because the video had no ending. Song is good, from a good band.

 

Carpark North won't play for us worthless Americans

1 point for being Tesla. Have never really cared for this song. Video was a bit tacky, but it's Tesla damnit!

 

Thunder--1 point

I have their second album plus a greatest hits disc. This song is really good. I saw a group called Terraplane open for Foreigner in England in '85 I believe, and a couple members of that band went on to form Thunder.

The Strokes (0 points)

I'm not really a Strokes fan.  Althought it's not terrible, it's also not particularly good.  There for the zero points.

 

Revis (1 point)

I like the song.  It picks up directly from the first album and would fit quite well on it.  This band's songs are mostly slow to medium tempo, not much fast stuff at all.  I also like the singer's voice.  The video was okay, nothing special, so zero for it and an overall score of 1.

 

Foo Fighters (2 points)

I like the song and the video.  The Foo Fighters are just cool in my book.  I think this song is a lot better than the other video you posted Niels, the one with Lemmy in it.  I can't get the video to play, but I have seen it.

 

 

Danko Jones (0 points)

I'm giving the song one point.  This song rocks and is my favorite from the album.  The video ruins it because of all of the dialogue.  That's a shame.  Because of all of the intrusive dialogue, I'm giving the video -1 point, thus the total score of zero.

Tesla (0 points)

I like Tesla a lot, but to me, this isn't one of their better songs.  And although the video is a little annoying to me, it's not bad enough to give a negative point.

 

Thunder (0 points / Cheese Factor 4)

The song is good but not great.  Since I'm no longer giving partial points, I have to give it a zero for the song.  The video definitely isn't good or bad, so zero there as well.  I don't really think the video is all that cheesy, but the singer is.  Please untuck the tank top so I can't see 2 inches of britches above your belt...

Too bad, the danish video's won't show in the US of A. I was gonna show you a video from danish band Dizzy Miss Lizzy next week, and even though the band-name stinks, their first album was pretty good. Ah well, I've allready found a replacement.
