I recently watched a rerun of That Metal Show with Portnoy and John Sykes appearing...  If you seen it you may recall they were working together on new material with Sheehan which ended up failing.  I wonder if some of this doesn't come from those sessions or has some sort of ties...  Just a curious thought...

I like this a lot! The bass work is unbelievable!  Easily this is a SMASH.

I'm a slight bit hesitant here.  I like all 3 dudes.  And musically, this is terrific.  I also like Kotzen's vocals, so another check mark.   But my hesitation comes from the fact that this sounds like a Mr. Big song to me.  For now, I'll say stash.

Never heard much of Mr Big, maybe that should change if this is the template for what I missed.  But, lets be honest, "To Be With You" isn't really very good and that's the tune that kept me away from them

Can't say I've heard much from Mr. Big either, but I did buy their latest that came out in '11 or '12, can't remember which, and this sounds like something that would have appeared on that album.

And the video is no longer available.

Trust me... It's good stuff!

It's easy to find on Youtube.

Yeah, I can hear that it's the same bass-sound as Mr. Big (!!!), but otherwise it doesn't really sound like Mr. Big to me.

This is not bad. I'll say smash.

See if this works:

Thanks for re-posting this video, RJHog. I'm going smash. And to me, this is definitely a supergroup. If they do a whole album, I'll buy it without needing to hear any more.

The world's greatest bass player (it's not even close, guys), add in an excellent drummer and guitarist, and you clearly have a supergroup. Is it just me, or does anyone else hear a little Chris Cornell in the vocals?

Oh, one more note for Scott.

Mr. Big is way more than "To Be With You". I read where the band said that track was basically filler, and somehow it became a huge hit. But Mr. Big has some outstanding rock n roll. With Sheehan and Paul Gilbert handling the axe work, you can't get much better than that.

Even though "To Be With You" is on it, "Lean Into It" is a strong CD. RJHog mentioned the latest release "What If?", and it's very good, along with "Bump Ahead".

Good to know!  Im gonna listen to them soon....

I like Kotzen's voice, a lot.  And now that you mention it, there is some Cornell in it.  I only have one of his albums, maybe an AOTW is in order.
