10. Black Sabbath - 13

9. Megadeth - Super Collider

8. Riverside - Shrine Of New Generations Slave

7. S.U.N. - Something Unto Nothing

6. Sound City Soundtrack

5. Spock's Beard - Brief Nocturnes & Dreamless Sleep

4. Alter Bridge - Fortress

3. Seventh Key - I Will Survive

2. Jason Isbell - Southeastern

1. The Winery Dogs - The Winery Dogs

10 - "Ultralive Ballisticrock" - Ted Nugent (live album that is "sort of" cheating, since its all old material, but it came out this year, and features the best band Nugent has had in years...including Derek St. Holmes being back as rhythm guitar and some lead vocals, and Mick Brown of Dokken/Lynch Mob/T & N pounding the skins).

9 - "Revolution Rise" - Kill Devil Hills

8 - "Fortress" - Alter Bridge

7 - "New Horizon" - The Answer

6 - "Onyx" - Pop Evil

5 - "13" - Black Sabbath

4 - "Locked And Loaded" - Eve To Adam

3 - "Slave To The Empire" - T & N

For me, the top two are so close, it's really hard to decide. They are both excellent listens...and numbers 3 through 10 are waaaaaaaaayyyy behind 1 and 2.

2 - "Something Unto Nothing" - S.U.N.

1 - "All Hell Breaks Lose" - Black Star Riders

With your love of guitar, I am absolutely flummoxed that you do not think The Winery Dogs are Top 10 worthy.  Richie Kotzen's playing is so melodic.  It's really an extension of his voice on this album.  Really.

Can't get into Kill Devil Hill.  I'll kick it around again shortly.

I have two Eve To Adam albums but I didn't buy this one.

Dont have that one yet. I honestly did not get into the tracks posted on the NMC that featured this that much. I'll go back and listen some more. You know how I feel about Billy Sheehan!!

I only became interested in the Eve To Adam because I saw them open for Pop Evil about a month ago or so. I might make another E2A purchase at some point.

We have 2 in common Gordon and 1 that I want to hear.

BS and SUN in common, KDH you'd like to hear...

Right on common, wrong on hear.

RjHog...We have 2 albums in common and 1 that I want to hear.

SUN and BS in common, want to hear Megadeth.

Right on common, wrong on hear.

My list isn't quite ready yet but the want to hear albums from everyone else's lists are The Winery Dogs (heard three tracks) and Black Star Riders.

Here's the two versions of my Top 10 albums of 2013.

01.) Oliva - Raise The Curtain (Nuclear Blast)
02.) Metal Church - Generation Nothing (Rat Pak Records)
03.) Black Sabbath - 13 (Republic Records)
04.) Fates Warning - Darkness in a Different Light (InsideOut Music)
05.) S.U.N. - Something Unto Nothing (Robo Records)
06.) Pamela Moore - Resurrect Me (Rat Pak Records)
07.) Deep Purple - Now What?! (Eagle Rock Entertainment)
08.) Helloween - Straight Out Of Hell (Sony)
09.) Queensryche - Frequency Unknown (Cleopatra Records)
10.) Benedictum - Obey (Frontiers)

If you include the NON-Metal releases, the list would look like this:

1. Oliva - Raise The Curtain
2. Metal Church - Generation Nothing
3. Black Sabbath - 13
4. Beth Hart - Bang Bang Boom Boom
5. Fates Warning - Darkness in a Different Light
6. S.U.N. - Something Unto Nothing
7. Pamela Moore - Resurrect Me
8. Beth Hart / Joe Bonamassa - Seesaw
9. Deep Purple - Now What?!
10. Helloween - Straight Out of Hell
