Broke down and picked up these three Thin Lizzy remasters:
Bad Reputation
Black Rose
Chinatown
Now just need Renegade and Thunder & Lightning if/when they come out and I'll be happy.
Since I've discovered Neal Morse (and "re-discovered" Mike Portney, what a GREAT drummer!!!) in 2011:
Spock's Beard - "Snow"
Transatlantic - "Whirlwind"
but also:
Jane's Addiction - "The Great Escape Artist" (Look out for this week's NMC)
Tom Waits - "Bad As Me"
It was my intention to buy the new Coldplay-album, but all the reviews I've read, say's it's utter crap, and I believe that.
At this point, it's hard for me to see any more new albums this year, I "need" to buy??
I picked up:
The Elves (featuring Ronnie James Dio) - And Before Elf...There Were Elves
The John Norum, I just downloaded it from Itunes, then got the lyrics off the net. It is his second CD, not a new release.
I have two John Norum CDs.
Total Control (his debut) REAL CD
I think this one is pretty good (for the most part) from front to back.
Face The Truth ITUNES
I think the Title-Track, We Will Be Strong and In Your Eyes were pretty good from this CD, but I've only listened to it once while driving to work in the morning.
This is his Vevo Channel, same thing can be found on Youtube.
I've purchased much more since I last posted but didn't list 'em for fear of peeps taking my ideas and posting them somewhere. Plus I was lazy.
Deep Discount is having a 25% of sale on a bunch of CD's, BD's etc. so I went a little bit crazy:
Whitesnake--Slide It In (Deluxe Version)
Jane Wiedlin--S/T
Last Crack--Sinister Funkhouse #17
Planet P--1931: Go Out Dancing, Pt. 1
Kip Winger--From The Earth To The Sun
plus a bunch of blu's, non-music related
They also had an album from some guy named Gene Simmons and it was less than $4, probably should have been cheaper I would think.
There are no birthdays today
