Here is my attempt at posting a Christmas themed album. It's December by The Moody Blues, released in 2003. This will be my last post of 2017, but I will be back in 2018. Be ready for the 80's (and maybe, just maybe some early 90's).
Tracks:
1. Don't Need A Raindeer
2. December Snow
3. In The Quiet of Christmas Morning (Bach 147)
4. On This Christmas Day
5. Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
6. A Winter's Tale
7. The Spirit of Christmas
8. Yes I Believe
9. When A Child Is Born
10. White Christmas
11. In The Bleak Midwinter

This is a really nice album. There's a bit of a rock vibe on some of the songs with some nice geetar. It's an Xmas album but also a Moody Blues album but totally doesn't sound like an Xmas album all the time. I am pleasantly surprised with this, thought it would be totally schmaltzy which it isn't.
PEACE!
The Moody Blues greatest album, Long Distance Voyager, is a hidden masterpiece IMO. As a result of loving that album since I first heard Gemini Dreams on the radio I’ve been picking at their catalog for quite some time, most of which I really like! Days of Future Past, cool! Yet for some reason my ownership of albums is limited to 4 – the aforementioned masterpiece, Days of Future Passed (Deluxe Edition), The Present, and the Red Rocks release. Nice albums all of them, but there is a void… Not sure a Christmas album will fill it.
Nice album with some standards mixed in. There’s no substitute for a great songwriter, and these guts still got it… Time to fill some gaps…
Oh yeah! Congrats to the band on the RRHOF induction, well deserved
