This CD was released with 4 different album covers.  The one above is the Best Buy version that I picked up.  Let me just say that I'm loving this slice of Melodic Power Pop Rock.  It's absolutely fantastic.  There isn't a bad track on this album.  One of the 5 songs I have posted is my Song Of The Year at this point.  See if you can figure out which one it is.

(Aftermath Of The Lowdown)

I did not like this at all the first time through, except for the opening track, which is the first song I have posted here.  But I've listened to it a couple of more times and maybe I was a bit harsh.  It's actually pretty good.  Definitely not album of the year, but probably an honorable mention footnote for my Top 10 list this year.  I know you guys don't care for Richie, but give it a chance.

RICK SPINGFIELD - 2.5 out of 6 (hundred)

First thought is, that it sounds a bit like a track from a Scooby Doo-movie, played while Scooby and friends are chased by some monster, and it is usualy some young un-insteresting (to me) band, that you hear in those cartoons. Second thought is, that this music sounds NOTHING like something I listen to these days. It sounds (second track now) a bit like Night Ranger. Is that your favorite track, RJhog? Third track, and I'm thinking, MAN how I have heard this kind of music many, many, MANY times through time, and at this time, it really bores the shit out of me. Fourth track could also be your favorite, RJ. Not that it's so much better than the other ones. A tiny bit maybe. But I'm still bored. Last track is the same as the others: Kind of Night Rangerish and kind of boring.

Even though, it wasn't my post last time around, instead of written all of this, I could just had written "Interesting", or better still "Not interesting at all".

RICHIE SAMBORA - 2.5 out of 6 (or 60)

Yeah, you're right. I don't like RS at all, but the first track sounds more promising than the Rick Springfield-tracks. It has a Jimi Hendrix-sounding guitar, and even though I'm not a fan of Mr. Hendrix, I like the sound of this track. 

Second track shows the weak voice Mr. Sambora has. Wasn't this a single? I think I've heard it before. Did I post the video, perhaps? Never mind, the track is definitely not as strong as the opening track, but again, better than RS. TERRIBLE start to the third track!! And it doesn't really get much better. We're back to the boring stuff. REALLY boring!! Fourth track, and I'm getting really, really bored, and that weak voice!! I feel, I'm wasting valuable time, listening to this track. More like "Seven minutes gone"!! Last track, at last. Best start since the opening track, but now the tempo slows down. More of the same crap. No, I'm done here. Not for me either.

Even though, none of these albums are interesting to me what so ever, it is as always a pleasure to listen to NMC.

Richard Springfield ... Two Thumbs studying Revelation and wishing it had a better soundtrack

Depravity is clearly the best track here, actually it is by a long shot as the other 4 didn't really work for me.  I liked them but they weren't really anything special.  I did like the Beatles feel to the last tune though.  This one wont be on my wish list, nor any other cover released ...

Richard Sambora ... Two Thumbs lowdown

I really like the geetar work, he's extremely talented.  It stinks he's stuck in Bon Jovi  playing pop music and now country cross-over crap because you can hear how much he prefers to Rock!  But that's the sacrifice I would take too if it meant the paychecks he sees...  This however is nothing more than a collection of strong geetar work stuck in mediocre songs.  Pass...

Rick Springfield--Pending until I listen to MY album with a different cover

Richie Sambora--Seriously????

I went into this with an open mind. I went into this without thinking of Bon Jovi. I went into this expecting something and not knowing what. I went into this expecting total crap, something I could laugh about. I came out of this ACTUALLY LIKING IT. What the hell? His voice sounds shot, I thought he had a better voice than this, but the geetaring is very, very good. Song # 3 was pretty mellow and then he just ripped on the geetar. Even the mellow song (#2) was darn good. Now, I don't know if this is purchase material, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. So, let's go 3/4 thumbs up.

Yes, I listened to Shock Denial Anger Resentment Annoyance Acceptance Compliance Compassion Disgust last night.  I'd list it right after the other three.  You need to listen to Songs For The End Of The World...NOW...and quit fartin' around.
