What do you think of Omerta?
I bought it yesterday but so far I've only listened to the Duran Duran cover with Lzzy Hale on it.
The first thing, that hit me like a hammer was.....what rediculous lousy lyrics!!! I mean really lousy.
Of course the drums sounds GREAT, and there's some good guitar on it, some good riffs. The songs(melodies) are okay, not THAT great, but okay. It's probably just as good/bad, as I had expected. It's not gonna be album of the year, that's for sure, but maybe after a few more listenings, I've changed my mind. It has happend before, you know.
Who's going to post it in NMC? If you all wait until NEXT weekend, then I've got two cd's, and Omertá is one of them.
This weekend coming up is Scott's turn, then you, then me. I have no problem with you posting it. I'll have 2 for the week after you.
Nice pick ups, Neils!
Thanks, Scandal.
III - Chickenfoot (still on heavy rotation)
All 4 discs of a Led Zeppelin box set (my friend gave me burnt CD's on this...but hey, Led Zeppelin has plenty of my money...so I'm innocent!! Well sorta...well not really...but hey, a gift is a gift)
Kicking And Screaming - Sebastian Bach (I found this for $10 at my Best Buy, so I bought it, and I think it is really a great slab of hard rockin'! Heard the 5 tunes on the NMC post, but was not gonna buy it...but now I'm glad I did!)
Come To Life - American Motherload
Black Ice - AC DC
Accident of Birth - Iron Maiden
At the moment I'm listening to King's X - "Out Of The Silent Planet". It's been a while since I last heard that one. "Side 2" is better than "Side 1". An awesome album they made!!
Next couple of days, I'm going to listen to "Faith-hope-what's it called" -King's X
Tesla - Mechanical....argh, I can't remember titels today
Accept - "Balls To The Wall" and "Metal Heart"
"Forever More" - Tesla
"Supershine" - Supershine (heavy but melodic at the same time...I said it before...Jon got me hooked up with this fine disc!)
unreleased cuts from studio sessions by Atlanta 80's band Riggs (NOBODY has this stuff, except for the band members, their roadie and my friend John Snowden...and me...and that is a shame!!)
"Down To The Bone" - Electric Mary (said it before...a GREAT FIND by RJHog!!)
"Rockaholic" - Warrant (8 or 9 tracks of just average music...but the other 4 or 5 great tunes make this a great record, in my opinion).
Kansas--Vinyl Confessions
John Elefante and Mastedon--Revolution Of Mind
Joan Jett & The Blackhearts--Up Your Alley (thanks to Rjhog)
Nightwish--Oceanborn (Scandal 2000 "made" me pull this one out)
Scorpions--Taken By Force
Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers--Long After Dark
Starcastle--Starcastle (thanks to Scott)
Rainbow--Down To Earth
Picture--Warhorse
Wishbone Ash--Wishbone Four
