So what are you listening to right now? Any genre is cool.
For me:
Scott's Hidden Treasure
Depeche Mode - Wrong (courtesy of Niels)
Kim Mitchell - Akimbo Alogo (courtesy of Jon)
Next week's Album of the Week (hint: think orchestra)
Shinedown - The Sound of Madness
Tags:

Roxy Music - Country Life
Paul McCartny - Kisses On The Bottom
Genesis - Selling England By The Pound
Tony Iommi (it's not a Black Sabbath-album imo) - Seventh Star
Rod Stewart - Gasoline Alley
Wolfmother - Cosmic Egg
Neils, what do you think of the new McCartney?
My most recent listens, last night and this morning:
"Folklore and Superstition" - Black Stone Cherry
"Born Into This" - The Cult
"Essential Robin Trower" - Robin Trower
"Greatest Hits" - Steppenwolf (some of their old stuff is really good...great lyrics on some of these old tunes)
"Dance Of Death" - Iron Maiden
"Take Us Alive" - Extreme (Nuno is one of the greatest of all time!!)
Well, you've got to be in a special mood, I guess. It's something my 86 year old mother would love to listen to.
That's funny!
So, it's not too much of a rocker, then? McCartney, to me, is still one of the greatest of all time. Thanks!
Not at all a rocker!! It's McCartney's "takes" on some old classics. I actually like it!! It reminds me of some old movies with Fred Astaire and such. Some of the songs, where firstly sung by Nat King Cole. I know McCartney loves NKC, and at first I thought, that even though McCartney is one of my alltime favorite singers, he doesn't even come CLOSE to Nat King Cole's EXCELLENT voice. But then again, I don't think Cole could had sung "Oh Darling!" just as great as McCartney. Some of the songs, he does rather well. Some of the songs also reminds me of some old Tom Waits tunes, before he got weird. If you like some of that stuff, Sinatra-stuff I guess, it's quite a good little record.
