CHEAP TRICK - ROCKFORD (2006)

I don't really have anything new or different to say about the newest Cheap Trick album, so we'll just talk about Rockford.  So this album is named after the band's hometown, Rockford, Illinois. And it's yet another very strong album for the band.  Although you'd never know it by looking at the charts.  It topped out at number 101, while none of the three singles released managed to chart. Hey, it was 2006, radio had been changed forever.  By this time, we would never again see a day in which a classic rock band could release a single and have it heard by the masses.  But it is what it is. There was also no certification for the album.  That's everybody who hasn't heard it's problem.  If I took the band's last three albums we've covered, they are really all three extremely close in goodness.  I'll have to rank this one somewhere, but it clearly could be ranked higher on any given day.  Do you own the album?  If no, why not?  You are missing a very good one.  Oh yeah, how 'bout that Beatles influence on Dream The Night Away?
