JUDAS PRIEST - TURBO (1986)

Two years after the release of Defenders of the Faith, Judas Priest was back with Turbo.  The album performed reasonably well at first.  It managed a number 17 showing on the Billboard 200 album chart, which equaled Screaming For Vengeance's showing.  The album's Platinum certification was the final one of Priest's career.  Look, let's just cut to the chase.  In my opinion, this is not a very good album.  It's pretty obvious, even to an amateur JP fan, that the band tried to fit in with the "glam metal" phase that was gripping so many bands at the time.  From the synthesized guitars to the attempt at big, group choruses.  But it just doesn't work for me.  It even sounds to me like there is a drum machine at times.  There are a couple of decent songs, and I'll add those to my playlist, but I can't really think of anything else good to say.  Oh, I do like the song Out In The Cold, but I'm not gonna add it to the playlist at this time.
