KISSFAQ is deeply saddened to learn about the passing of original KISS manager Bill Aucoin, due to complications from cancer and diverticulitis. He was 66 years old. According to published reports, Aucoin passed away this morning, Monday, June 28, at 9:11 a.m. EST at the Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, Fla.
Lydia Criss, former wife of Peter Criss, has issued the following statement:
Dear Friends and Colleagues:
It is my sad duty to inform you that Bill Aucoin passed away in Florida this morning (Monday, June 28th) due to complications from Cancer & Diverticulitis.
We heard that there will be a service in NYC, but we don't know the details.

Born Dec. 29, 1943, Aucoin is best known for masterminding the career of KISS, and was the group's manager from 1973-1982. He also worked with artists such as Toby Beau, Billy Idol, Lordi, Billy Squier, and Starz. Most recently, Aucoin founded Aucoin Globe Entertainment in 2007, developing artists in the United States and around the world.
