ROCKOLLECTIONS: 15TH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11 PT.3

The 15th Anniversary of 9/11 continues with some Poetry.
When my mind cleared 15 years ago, and it was time to return to the Radio Station, I brought 13 Songs that I would pick from to play.
Two of them were Bruce Springsteen songs- the first was on the Born In The U.S.A. album but too fast, too upbeat- but I remembered an acoustic version he did live that would say it for me.
Over the years, for the second one I found a cover version I like better!
There are many recordings that can be used for this Anniversary, but I'll have one in here from 1974 that is absolutely eerie in light of Sept. 11th 2001.
Wait till you hear these lyrics!
And believe it or not, an even more sort of prophetic song in the Next Chapter.
A special memory here for the brave people on Flight 93 who knew what was going on and put up a fight, as I would hope to have done.

I believe the monument is new, probably not there when you were.

We visited the Flight 93 memorial site and I don't recall seeing that monument. Might have missed it, but it is a very quiet place, just out in the country.
